Both baths have recently been updated as well as the kitchen.

Asheville is 30 minutes away with Biltmore House and many craft breweries. Sierra Nevada is a must see!
Main Street Hendersonville is 10 minutes away with great shopping, restaurants, pubs and breweries!
The gazebo-style front porch beckons you to relax with a drink, a book, or games from sunrise to sunset. You will delight in a yard of native wildflowers, a Koi pond waterfall, and gorgeous Dogwoods. The peaceful setting will make your stay even more enjoyable.

About Karla T. Ward
We have a deep family history rooted in Saluda. My husband grew up there and my parents used this home as a summer getaway. My husband and I now own the home. We live in Texas, but travel to the mountains several times a year maintaining our home and yard.I have a Maltese who fly with me and spend time in Saluda. I always have a warm heart the entire time I am there.
Karla T. Ward purchased this House in 1979
Why Karla T. Ward chose Saluda
This will be our retirement home one day. Until then, we would love to have special people enjoying it as much as we do.
What makes this House unique
I have traveled to Europe several times. Saluda reminds me of the quaint European towns in Germany. To this day there is still not one franchise business in downtown Saluda. You can't get more Americana than that!

A real gem...
We had a wonderful stay over the past weekend in Saluda. This Victorian home far exceeded our expectations - spotless, comfortable, and in an ideal location. Beds were comfortable, AC and wifi worked great, and seeing the detailed woodwork throughout the home was amazing. We absolutely will stay here again during our next visit to Saluda. Visitors should check out the wonderful downtown shops, Green River BBQ, the Gorge Zipline tour, the Biltmore house (nearby in Asheville), and finally the lovely Episcopal church in Saluda (we were in town for a wedding).
Thank you for the kind review. This is what make it worthwhile. Please come back!!
We have stayed here many times and it has always been wonderful.
We loved this house. It was immaculate and precious. We will be back!
Walking distance to everything. The house is unique and has it's own palpable personality. I loved it.
Highly recommend this home for fun relaxing get away. Very comfortable and close to everything. We enjoyed a short walk to downtown Saluda. Cozy inside and nice sitting areas outside. We plan to visit again!
A lovely house in a lovely town!
Our recent stay in this lovely home was great! We had plenty of room for our family members and enjoyed our time in the great town of Saluda, NC! Our favorite spot in the house, of course, is that amazing front porch!
We loved it. Very cute and homey
We only stayed for a night but wish we had more time. Love the connivence to town and we really enjoyed the Purple Onion for dinner. We loved the house so much we wanted to go get groceries and eat in but walked to town and decided to dine there. Everything was great and it had all the amenities we needed. The porch was the best part.
Short but memorable excursions include a full array of water activies on the nearby Green River, Pearson Falls, Chimney Rock at Lake Lure, the Biltmore House, and Famous Poet Carl Sandburg's Home, to name a few.
