Romantic holiday apartment located directly on one of the famous Nova Scotia tourist routes, Cape Breton's beautiful 'Fleur-de-lis Trail.”
Located between Gabarus & Marion Bridge, it is an ideal spot from which to explore Fortress of Louisburg, the Miners Museum and Sydney, of course with easy access to the rest of the island including the world famous Cabot Trail, from Arichat to Bay St. Lawrence, all of which are within 1-3 hours drive.
Another attraction is Whale Watching.
A lot of beaches give you the opportunity for extended walks.
Sydney (yes – in Canada we have a Sydney too) is only 20 minutes away for shopping, to visit museums, restaurants, concerts, cinemas, to play golf or to stroll along at the harbour front. Enjoy a variety of gastronomy, sometimes with live music.
Our house is located in the middle of Nature with a peaceful and quiet setting on a private road. We don't have TV but we do have free WiFi.
Relax in peace and quiet and use the days at our place to “switch off” - and not only the TV!
Please note that the self catering apartment does not include breakfast. (Breakfast only on request -please contact us).
Thanks so much for everything. You have a beautiful spot for travelers to stay. :-) Peaceful and comfortable to relax between visiting various places. Thanks for helping us find places to go. May the Lord bless you as you bless others...
We loved staying at Bridget and Joe's beautiful apartment . We felt very comfortable in the stylish and accommodating space provided . Close enough to Sydney and secluded enough to feel relaxed . We especially enjoyed looking at the spectacular stars , seeing Cape Bretton's beautiful sights , and exploring a new place . We would definitely return and would book again ! Looking forward to another trip !
Cape Breton Island was recently ranked #3 in the world, and #1 on the list of Top Island Destinations in the Continental U.S. and Canada – in Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2011 readers’ survey.
Cape Breton is an experience unlike any other. A boundless playground for those who are looking for incredible outdoor adventures.
Cape Breton is also famous for its beautiful golf courses! Some of the 18-hole courses has been awarded several International prizes.
Cape Breton charm is captivating. Her people are friendly and communicative. The daily rhythm is slower, life has its own speed, it's all very laid-back and natural. Summers can get quite hot, however the chilly evenings will give you a quiet night's rest.
Every October Cape Breton hosts its prize-winning Celtic Colors Festival. Musicians from all over the world will come together to make music and perform in a local community setting. Accommodations must be booked well in advance.
Although a three day visit isn't unusual, in order to get a real feel for Cape Breton's “way of life” and its charm, we recommend you should plan to stay for at least one week on the island.
