2 bedroom, 2 and 1/2 bath on the point overlooking the Gulf of Mexico

Tarpon Run at Gulf Pointe II is a wonderful vacation property offering year round relaxation and world class activities. This 2 bedroom, 1400 square foot condo features a firm pillow top king bed in the master suite with a private balcony and twoqueen beds in the over sized second bedroom.

Total kitchen and greatroom remodel August 2015 features Quartz Counter Tops and a huge peninsula with additional seating for four. New cabinets and Stainless Steel Appliances. There is rattan outdoor seating for 4 with a small bistro table on the deck to enjoy the ocean breezes while watching the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico.

There is a 50 inch flat screen Smart TV in the living room. Cable TV is provided with a 42 inch TV in the master and 32" in second bedroom. New Dock for boating and fishing.

Gulf Pointe offers one of the the nicest property values in the Keys. Excellent dockage, fishing, a beautiful pool and grounds and only 20 units. The units are large - over 1400 square feet with two huge wrap around decks. Gentle ocean breezes and great water views make this a great place to relax and unwind.

The fishing from the dock is excellent. At night we watched lobster, rays, octopus and a wide variety of sea life.

About Jan & Ed Burnsed

We wanted a tropical vacation home and started our search in the Bahamas Out Islands; from there we traveled to the US Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, Costa Rica and Belize. We found some wonderful homes but each had drawbacks so we decided to look closer to home in the US. We took a trip to Marathon Florida Keys in 2011 and found all the conveniences of home, grocery stores, drug stores, restaurants, water front bars, charter boats, beaches and, if needed, a hospital. On that trip we purchased a waterfront park model recreational vehicle. After spending a lot of time in Marathon we were sold and started looking for a permeant vacation home there.

We eventually found Tarpon Run at Gulfpoint II, a twenty unit condominium complex with its own dock and fishing pier perched on a Gulf side peninsula at Vaca Cut with access to both the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. In March 2015 we purchased Tarpon Run from Linda and Phil Burkart who had been offering Tarpon Run as a vacation rental home since 2009.

Gulfpoint II located in Marathon. The middle Keys is easily accessible from Key West (50 miles to the south), or Miami (about 100 miles) via Keys Shuttle, rental car or your own. If you have access to a private plane or charter, Marathon Airport is 3 miles away.

Very nice property and area

Facility was excellent. Disappointed that the pool was not better maintained. Bird and iguana feces on pool deck and we only saw the area cleaned once during our stay.

This condo is located in an excellent community with a boat dock right in front. The unit is decorated tastefully and in top-notch conditions. The owners, Jan and Ed, are very responsive to any questions or requests. Their local representative, Loraine, and neighbors are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

One tip: the street entering the development has no street sign (supposed to be 126th st) and is somewhat difficult to find in the dark. Use Keys Federal Credit Union as a marker. The street is right next to it to the west.

Tarpon Run @ Gulfpoint II

My wife and I and 2 of our adult daughters spent Thanksgiving week and a couple days before and after for a total of 10 days at this wonderful property. We have spent many vacations up and down the "Keys" and this is by far the best we have ever stayed at. When you look at the pictures of this listing they are just as you see, so neat and tidy. Everything about this property has been updated or taken very good care of to say the least. If you have a boat, there is a great dock adjoining the property, the pool area is just a few steps away and is well kept and maintained. Interior is immaculate and very comfy, a lot of these condos seem to put furniture that almost seems to be "hand me down" but not this one, top shelf, great TV's and the appliances are great and seem almost new. Don't pass this one up.

Wonderful condo - amazing holiday

We (group of 4 adults - 2 couples) stayed for 8 nights 10-18 November 2016. From booking to departure we had good communication with the owners. They were very helpful, professional and responded quickly.

All information and directions given beforehand was accurate and invaluable. On arrival the condo was spotlessly clean and the best equipped place we have ever stayed. The neighbours were all friendly and helpful too. Great place to stay - even if you are not there for the fishing - we weren't. The location was good to explore the other Keys, the condo and pool area were relaxing, just the place to chill. Would definitely recommend this place and would not hesitate to return given the opportunity.

Best way to visit the Key's

My wife and I can't say enough about our stay at Tarpon Run! We were there for a week and loved it. Very clean and neat, lots of space with 2 patios and great parking. Everything inside seems new and everything works 100%. Very nice kitchen with laundry and nice big bedrooms. To make it all that much better are the views!. We had a small problem with the internet, so I called Ed Burned and had it fixed in no time, he was great. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice clean and refreshing stay in Marathon!!

An amazing property in the Keys

No reason to look around, this ocean front condo has it all. Owners did a beautiful job on recent remodel. Everything you need is there. Fishing gear is provided so you can catch supper right from the dock. Location is perfect as you are minutes from great dinning and grocery stores. Island Fish Co is within walking distance and Sparky's Landing is close by. Sunset Grille is a ten minute ride but is a stop you must make especially at sunset by the 7 mile bridge. Just the other side of the 7 mile bridge is the beautiful Bahia Honda State Park with nice beaches on both bay side and ocean side. Many interesting wild life attractions like the Turtle Hospital and the Dolphin Research Center and good snorkeling spots at other nearby state parks. You will not run out of thinks to do and see. Plan to take the 45 minute ride south and visit Key West for the day. At the end of each day we returned to the well maintained grounds of this property for a dip in the pool. The owners Ed and Jan are great to deal with. There will be nothing you regret when you stay here. It is a special place.
