Home away from home....

  • 5 of 5

This carriage house is a great place to relax and unwind. The décor is charmingly eclectic with numerous original art pieces throughout. We have visited twice now and look forward to staying many more times in the future. The place is only surpassed by the owners Gina and Timothy and their friendliness and efforts to ensure that their guests have everything they need. The location is very central for most activities and sites in Vancouver and close to many wonderful restaurants. We happily and highly recommend this property.

Accordion-friendly gem in funky neighbourhood

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I visited Vancouver for the Accordion Noir Festival, & were lucky enough to stay in Gina and Tim's beautiful carriage house/art studio. The booking was easily made, with Tim and Gina being responsive and informative. The accommodations were perfect for us, with the two pull-out couches being as comfortable as any beds, and the private deck offering a chance for us to sip some beverages and practice our accordions. The studio was clean and luxurious, and the neighbourhood suited our needs perfectly. Roxie Rock Star, the singing dog was just the icing on the cake!

Thank you Tim and Gina.

Beautiful place!

  • 5 of 5

Gina and Timothy are excellent hosts!

I booked the place last minute for my Mom who was visiting from Germany and she couldn't have been happier with her vacation rental.

The suite is beautiful, bright, spacious, clean and the private sundeck in the backyard can't be beat.

Gina made more than an effort to accommodate my Mom despite the language barrier.

We felt very welcome and I would absolutely recommend the place to anyone looking for a home away from home.

Thanks again.

A wonderful host, great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at Gina’s and Timothy’s Vancouver home during a trip to the West Coast. After a long three day drive we arrived in Vancouver and had the great pleasure of being greeted by Gina and Timothy. A more welcoming host family we could not imagine. Gina had us settled in quickly, and took time to answer our questions and help us plan our next few days. We have used VRBO many times, in many countries and I have never had such a pleasant experience in all my travels. My two girls actually wanted to bring Gina along with us for the rest of the trip! The apartment is very private and self-contained behind the main house. There is a private deck to use and it was a great place to have a coffee in the morning or to enjoy the beautiful Vancouver evenings. My family of four found the apartment suited us perfectly and the beds were super comfortable. There is a beautiful natural light which drenches the room in the morning, and Gina was thoughtful enough to provide sleep covers so those who wanted to sleep in a bit were not bothered by the early sun rise. The air conditioning was very effective and the apartment was secure and comfortable. The location was in a nice neighbourhood which was very quiet, yet only a short cab ride to the downtown area. Lots of shopping and restaurants were within walking distance, and Gina provided us with a few “starter” treats (chocolate!!!) to make us feel welcome upon arrival. And not the cheap chocolate either.

We appreciated all of Gina’s guidance; from advise on where to visit, to driving directions for Vancouver and the surrounding area. She took it upon herself to find out taxi prices, ferry schedules and transit fares and schedules. When we go back to Vancouver, we won’t bother researching any other options; I would recommend this listing and this wonderful family without hesitation.
