Fryeburg House Rental Photos and Description

Perfect home for family reunions - sleeps 10 - gourmet kitchen, mountain views

You really do have it all with this grand home on the main street in Fryeburg! The convenience of being on Main Street, but with breathtaking mountain views and farm land right out the back door! With four beautifully appointed bedrooms and 2 full baths, you will be able to comfortably sleep 10 people. The main floor has large living room and dining rooms that flow into one another, perfect for entertaining. The gourmet kitchen will delight the best of chefs as well as those being cooked for!

If you don't feel like doing all the cooking, we are right next door to the incredible Oxford House Inn. Their food is just the best in the valley! Looking for a more relaxed meal, the Route 302 Smokehouse is just a few doors down. Eating well in Fryeburg is easy to do!

Enjoying the great outdoors is just as easy to do. Whether you are looking for a leisurely stroll through our quaint village, or an easy 15 minute walk/hike up Jockey Cap for wonderful views, to the countless hiking available throughout the Mt. Washington Valley, there really is something for every level.

Although we are right on Main Street, we do own property directly on the Saco River, so bring your canoe or kayak, or rent them from the many local rental companies (Saco River Canoe & Kayak Rentals or Saco River Canoe Rentals are our favorites) and enjoy the calm waters of the Saco. Or just walk down the farm road to our private beach and go for a refreshing swim. We are directly across the river from the larger Weston's Beach.

We are also an easy 15 minute drive from North Conway, NH which is popular because of the outlet stores and many other shopping and restaurant choices! Remember that NH is tax free shopping!

Fryeburg Fair week is an extremely popular time to be in town. Our home is a mile from the main gate, an easy walk for those that want to get a little exercise in before eating all that fair food!

If you are coming during the winter months you will have just as many activities to choose from. We are an easy 15 minute drive to Shawnee Peak Ski Resort an Cranmore Mt. Ski Resort. You can also enjoy Sunday River, Attitash Mt., Wildcat, and Bretton Woods, all within an hour of our home.

Attached to our home is the main office of our business, Northeast Snowmobile Rentals, open December 15-early April. Our home is the perfect spot then for the snowmobile enthusiast! The trails leave right from our back door and connect to trails throughout Maine and New Hampshire.

About Terry and Sarah MacGillivray

Sarah and I have three children who we are very proud of. We live in Maine year round. I rent Snowmobiles in the winter through our business Northeast Snowmobile Rentals. We have three locations, two in Western Maine, and one in New Hampshire. We have 16 years experience with weekly rentals. We own the Robinhood Inn on Bailey Island, which we have rented successfully for 16 years, and the Harborgate on Great Island, which we've been successfully renting for 4 years. We have learned what our guests want and do not want in a weekly rental. We often stay in other rentals when we travel around the US.

Terry and Sarah MacGillivray purchased this house in 2002

Why Terry and Sarah MacGillivray chose Western Maine

Western Maine really has something for everyone and we really feel that this home is central to all of it! The home is great for groups of 10, but also nice for smaller groups.

Fryeburg, Maine is in the ideal location for four season's worth of activities! Located in the White Mountains/Mt Washington Valley, there are wonderful hiking trails to keep you hiking for months! There are more lakes, ponds and of course the Saco River, to keep you paddling for just as long! Skiing is close by at Shawnee Peak in Bridgton, or at Cranmore Mt. in North Conway.
