Enjoy the breeze and view from this light-filled cabin on top of a ridge. Walk to trail in the NC Wildlife Game Lands or just enjoy strolling around the gravel roads of our neighborhood, Piney Mountain -- keep an eye out for deer, birds and other wildlife. Many trails, waterfalls and outdoor adventures in the nearby area and we're happy to tell you about the ones we've tried (The Gorge zip line!).
The log cabin sits on a 4.25-acre wooded lot that provides privacy. Enjoy a beautiful mountain view year round and 360 degree winter mountain views. Whether you're looking for some family time or a chance to connect with friends, this place has been set up to accommodate. Floor plan is open with a bedroom and bathroom on each level. Hang out on one of the porches, watch a movie in the loft from the growing collection, grab a book, or choose a fun board game. The house is set up to make you so comfortable you won't want to leave.
But if you choose to venture out and explore, historic downtown Saluda is about a 10 minute drive and is really charming with excellent food, art and live music. There are lots of day-trip options including:
Hendersonville - 20 min.
Sky Top Orchard, Zirconia - 20 min.
Lake Lure - 30 min.
Asheville - 40 min.
Chimney Rock - 40 min.

Note: The roads within our development are gravel and our driveway is fairly steep. In the case of wintry weather it is possible that you could have trouble getting up the driveway without 4WD.
We live in Mount Pleasant, SC. I work for a local land trust and my husband is part of a family business in Awendaw. We are the parents of two sweet little girls. We get away to the mountains whenever we can and have created a space that we love and hope you will too.

My parents and I enjoyed a great week in the mountains! The cabin is in a great location with a beautiful view of the mountains. It was ideal for the quiet and relaxing vacation we wanted. Everything was incredibly clean, and the attention to detail was outstanding. The owners really did think of everything and were great to work with! We enjoyed going into Saluda and Hendersonville and visiting Pearson Falls. We even rode over to see Linville Caverns. The only negative to the trip was having to leave and return to reality. Thanks for sharing your mountain home for a much needed vacation!
Our family with 2 kids and my parents had a great experience at this lovely cabin. The set-up was perfect for our family. The views were amazing of the mountains. The screened in patio was great for containing my kids when needed but could still allow us to be outside. The deck was perfect place to enjoy your coffee in the morning. The cabin was decorated lovely, beachy decor. What we loved most was the easy access to a lovely hike in the woods right from the cabin. We will definitely be back. Very comfortable setting!
My wife and I (and our dog) spent three fun filled and relaxing weeks at this wonderful cabin. Over the years we have rented many cabins in the North Carolina mountains and this one is tops for sure! We found the property just as advertised. Everything was clean, neat and orderly. The owners were a pleasure to work with responding quickly to our inquiries. Their attention to all the details that make for a wonderful stay were evident throughout. We can attest to all the great comments that others have made before us. From the super comfortable beds to the quality linens to the well stocked kitchen, all were just as others have praised. We particularly enjoyed the long distance mountain view from many rooms in the cabin, the wall-to-wall screened porch and the large SUPER deck recently constructed! We spent every evening, with a cold drink, in the chairs on the deck watching the sun set on the mountains and enjoying the peace and quiet. After dark we could enjoy a fire in the ring all set up complete with chairs and logs to sit on or a fire in the stone fireplace in the living room. We love to hike, so the nearby Gamelands trail was a real plus for us with the trailhead being a short walk from the cabin. There are other good hikes a short drive away. Of course the quaint town of Saluda was a favorite stop during the day when we were out and wanted a nice place for lunch or diner or just an ice cream cone! And then there was Hendersonville, Brevard and Asheville for more shopping and eating and exploring not very far away. Maybe not having any TV connections was better than anything else. We could just get down to real living without having to keep in touch with the outside world! I guess you can tell we loved our stay here. We will be back next year!
We loved our stay! The owners were excellent with communication and were very accommodating with our requests to come early during Hurricane Mathew.
The house is situated in a very private setting with great trails right from the house. Well equipped with everything you would need.
We will return again for sure!!
Thank again for everything!!
My sister and I had a wonderful week at this cabin. The location is beautiful, surrounded by trees along with an amazing view of the mountains from the house and deck. One morning we saw a family of deer walk through the woods in front of the deck! It was very clear that Allison wants her guests to be comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and condiments and the bedrooms and baths had very nice quality linens and amenities. I have stayed in many mountain rentals, this cabin is at the top of my list for comfort, ambience, and attention to all the thoughtful details that made it feel like home. We shall return!!
We truly enjoyed our weekend get away at this cabin. It was our 18th wedding anniversary and we wanted something memorable. That is just what we got. The views from the back porch and deck are absolutely breath taking. We spent one night on the deck just listening to the radio and the sounds of nature. The cabin is clean, well kept and so comfortable. The only one bad remark I have is that there is no TV downstairs and we could not get any kind of channels on the TV upstairs. All we could do was watch DVDs.
