The Whitefish Chain and The Wigrens...National Treasures
This past July was my 50th year vacationing on the Whitefish Chain, around Crosslake, MN. The Wigrens claimed their cabin was "very cozy and comfortable." They were 100% correct. However, they left out much that needs praising: the location is perfect for enjoying the many lakes; they are friendly, helpful, generous people; the place is spacious, clean, and up to date. Barring something unforeseen in my life, I will for sure be staying there next year, and for as many years to come as I am able. Thank, Wigrens, for a fantastic 50th anniversary!!!
Awesome! Great place to stay with your family
The hosts -Dave and Page were great! Homemade pie in the fridge and smores for after dinner bonfire. Took our family out fishing and came over to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. I loved the large oversized bathroom and the bathrobes were a nice touch. We enjoyed the games and books provided and the back yard fire pit was great!
Great location - near Zorbaz and the public boat launch was a quick 5 minute drive.
It was the perfect family vacation and we will definitely stay there again!
Great. Nice renovations. Everything you could want
We chose this location because we wanted to kayak the Pine River and it accepted our small dog. Nice location , very quiet, Cabin has everything you would want. The hosts live across the road on the lake frontage and were great. We had them over for coffee.Lots to do in the area. Fishing, swimming hiking. Beds are very comfortable. Everything is supplied you just need to bring your food.
Great place to vacation
We chose this cabin because we wanted to be close to the Pine River for Kayaking and we wanted somewhere that would accept our small old dog. Page and Dave are wonderful hosts. Page left us a great treat - Thanks again Page. The cabin is well renovated, easy to find and very comfortable. The beds are very comfortable with 1000 thread sheets. All you need to bring is food. Dave really wanted to take us out fishing but we where there for the kayaking. Great location to base at to do the upper, middle and lower Pine river. Go early in the season as the flow on the upper and middle is likely to be low in mid summer. Lots to do in the area with great restaurants. Only an hour from Lake Itasca
