Two bedrooms upstairs; one queen size bed with an adjoining full bath and another room with a queen size bed and a twin bed. Downstairs there is another full bath, large kitchen, bedroom with a queen size bed, dining room , living room with a large TV, and fully enclosed screen porch in the back and open deck in the front. About owner/property manager
My husband and I live here on Crescent lake fulltime and just love the lake life. During the week on our lake you can easily kayak/canoe around without large motorboats around. On the weekend there might only be 3-4 boats out at a time. Great place for your child to learn how to waterski or learn how to kayak.
owner/property manager purchased this House in 1991
Why owner/property manager chose Unity
We love the location as the property is close to Vermont, Boston and the great 4,000 ft high peaks to climb.
What makes this House unique
Our house is part of an association which owns private property right at the end of our driveway. There are picnic tables and grassy areas to sunbathe and to hang out with your friends and family. We have motorboats on the lake, but the house is situated in a quiet cove where you can float and swim all day in the sun. The association has a private marina where after you launch your own boat or kayak (at our boat landing), you can leave it there during your stay. We have large and small mouthed bass which seems to attract many local fishermen. At night you can go down to the association's property and have a camp fire. In the winter time our house is just far enough from the ski slopes where you'll enjoy coming back and relaxing with family. Close enough to come home and change to go back to the slopes for evening activity; dinner, movies or just going back for a drink. The lake at certain times in the winter has been fantastic for ice skating. You can make a fire on the association beach and bring hot chocolate down to friends and family to share.

Thank you for your 5 star rating! Glad you and your family enjoyed yourselves.
Well-appointed house in friendly setting
The property had everything we needed, including a wood stove, canoe & blender. Grill has side burner for steaming beans. Owner was very kind and staying just across the lake; neighbors welcoming. The house is up a hill and across the road and esplanade from the lake, maybe 200 yards away--not too far but not within view or earshot, making it difficult for us to keep tabs on our littlest one. Main detraction was the algae growth in the water, which made swimming unappealing, especially for kids who couldn't swim out to clearer water. The dog didn't mind, and he had great fun playing with other dogs in the lake association.
Thank you for your review. We try hard to make sure our renters have everything they need. Our intention of saying that our home, which is on a low slope ,is within 100 feet to the association property is not to allow renters to leave their children unattended. We have a great beach , with picnic tables and provided chairs for our renters to sit and be by the water. Like many lakes after a rainstorm, it does stirup its natural habitat of lake plants. There is a swimming area that is sandy and clear that stretches out 15 feet for young kids to swim in. We also provide floatation devices for families to swim together with. We have provided many pictures of the home and the association property for renters to view. Our lake has been given the award for being milfoil free and for the attention and time we spend keeping it clean.
This is a sweet little house with a good vibe. We enjoyed the screened in porch, the canoe, nearby hikes, and the generally mellow, quiet vibe of not being particularly near anything but a lake. The front porch is sunny, the house is set back from the road and the wind in the trees makes such a soothing sound. Extra bonus for being dog friendly and having 2 bathrooms!
Thank you for your kind words as we value our comments from each visitor to our lake house. The swimming this season has been refreshing too with all the warm weather that we have had. The cove in which the house is located is excellent for swimming or just floating around. The house provides a full bath off the master bedroom upstairs and second full bathroom on the main floor. The back porch, which faces the quiet woods, has a glass table that seats 4 comfortably for a sunset dinner.
It is a fully equipped kitchen which makes it easy for the renter to enjoy their stay. Thanks again for your review; sounds like a "5" to me.
great place for a fall weekend
Diane's home was perfect for a fall getaway. It fit four adults (and one dog) comfortably. Diane provided a number of recommendations for nearby hikes and activities, but we spent most of our time canoeing during the day and grilling and sitting by the fire at night. Highly recommended!
Our family loved the house, and Crescent lake . We kayaked and canoed , the water was clean and not crazy w boats, enjoyed meeting some friendly neighbors on the lake. The house is super clean and nicely decorated, Diane was great to deal with and she set us up perfectly. We explored nearby Mt Sunapee, hiked, they had zip lines and Mt. Bike trails also. & we visited nearby Claremont for lunch at New Socials grille, enjoyed the food and staff very much. Highly recommend and look forward coming Back
Lovely vacation spot
Was a very cute place, stayed with my husband and my dog. Great lake, cute house, had everything we needed. Would go back!
Summertime on the lake is spectacular. You have privacy at the house and then within 100feet of the house is full access to Crescent Lake where you can swim, motorboat, float and paddle around in a kayak or canoe. In the fall, you can take hikes right outside our door on snowmobile trails or drive a short distance to Mt. Sunapee , Ascutney mountain or even Okemo for a day hike. The views of the leaf changing is spectacular. In the winter, we are 20-25 minutes from Mount Sunapee Ski Resort and 30-35 minutes to Okemo Ski Resort. If you have spent the day skiing at the mountain, spend the night at our place and go back the next morning. It is much easier than driving home after a long day of skiing. You can also snowmobile, snow shoe and cross country ski on the frozen lake and trails that are within walking distance.
Additional information about rental rates
This is an association of approximately 25 homes. We enjoy and respect the lake and we expect our renters to do so as well. We do not allow smoking in our house. Please refer to our rental agreement for more about our house rules which is sent once committed.
