A very nice condo, we would go back again. Convenient to beach, shops and attractions. Would have liked to have seen more stocked items in kitchen: cookie sheets, sciccors.. Sofa bed was broken , luckily we weren't counting on it for a bed.
My family stayed the week of 07/11/16. We had a great time and really enjoyed the property. We where down for a dance competition so we didn't spend a lot of time at the resort the first few days. The kitchen wasn't overly appointed like I would have at home but I could make due. I did need a cookie sheet and there wasn't one there and the blender was missing the container. Other than that, I was pleased and was able to prepare meals for the family. The only thing that drove us batty was the upstairs renters had children that RAN all day and all night. Nothing you could do about this but learn to deal with it.
We would suggest the following for the owners.
The couch and loveseat are worn. There's not a lot of life left in them and they're uncomfortable to rest on. I would think they need replacement.
The master bedroom needs drapes. If you sleep in this room, you can't plan on sleeping in.
The shower head in the master needs more pressure. I believe I new shower head would do the trick or maybe a showerhead that can be taken down since it is a shower for a handicap person? just a suggestion.
The lamp in the small room has a short. We unplugged it and I hope that somebody will replace it.
Other than these few annoyances, everything was great and we would stay here again.
Sorry to say the furniture is old as you really sink down to the frame upon sitting, beds were uncomfortable as the mattresses were thinner than you would usually find, the shower in the master bath has no soap holders or bars to hang onto, and the cleaning left much to be desired. We found trash under the one bed and items left by previous renters in the drawer of one of the chests, coins under a stuffed rocker and the couch indicating a lack of proper vacumming, the plastic shower had not been cleaned, and we swept the floor ourselves as it was dirty. We mainly came to visit my son and his family and to take in some of the activities around. Some bulbs were burned out but they were replaced by the attendant. We also had three palmetto bugs visit the bedrooms which are not part of the bug population where we live. It was a good location for visiting my son and for doing things.
We decided on Tuesday that we wanted to go to the beach on Friday. It didn't faze us that it was Labor Day Weekend, we are up to a challenge. We were able to find and secure this condo within minutes of searching.
LOCATION: It is in an ideal location for entertainment and food. It is five minutes from Boardwalk at the Beach and the grocery store. It is eight and ten minutes from Krispy Kreme and Starbucks respectively. The drive to Barefoot Landing in NMB took a whopping twelve minutes because it is located directly on Highway 17 Bypass. There are a ton of Public Access areas for the beach only a five minute drive away.
CONDITION: There were a couple little things that were annoying, but you sometimes have to lower your expectations when it is this affordable. The screened in back porch was not usable as the door was not quite working. We debated whether a Sasquatch or an alligator tore it apart. I still vote Sasquatch. The overall condition of the condo could be called not dirty. There are large roaches in the SC area (some people like to make themselves feel better by calling them water bugs or palmetto bugs - but they are just large roaches) and they were in and out of the condo. I blame the scattered thunderstorms and flooding rains. They tend to move to drier land when the monsoons hit. I had no great issue with them but the 16 year old girl did.
AMENITIES: Can't speak to the pool for we didn't use it. The kitchen is not what I call fully stocked. There are no pizza pan/cookie sheet things, no salt or pepper shakers, and a couple more little things that I am used to having when we rent a place. No biggie at this price point.
ACCOMMODATIONS: The master bedroom has a "king-sized" bed that is actually just two singles. This lead to a fear for my life, as it created a chasm between us all night. It was annoying, not heartbreaking. The other two rooms consisted of two singles and a queen/full. The kids didn't seem to mind, no complaints. Did I mention that this is on the first floor? Super bonus when you get home after walking all day and you have a ton of stuff to carry in.
SUGGESTIONS: We had the darnedest time figuring out some of the things in the condo. Usually the owners leave a book of instructions/rules or a Cheat sheet lying around to tell you where things are, how to access wi-fi, and often include a card for the loyalty program at the local grocer.
I did talk to Veronica about the few concerns I had and she was very receptive.
My family of 8 stayed in this beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo very comfortably. The unit was clean, had great amenities, and was close to EVERYTHING!!!
Overall good, only complaints were no toliet paper, ripped screen door on back porch, and cabinets and counters in kitchen need to be replaced. Overall still a great place and would stay again.
