There is a balcony off one bedroom where you get a great view of the water.

Briarwood was built between 1911-1913 from the profits of the Silver Fox Farming Industry and has earned the Inmans an Architectural Preservation Award. The front entrance and Landing are panelled in Birds Eye Maple. Lots of books throughout! especially in the Keefe Room, lots of pictures and history on the Keefe family, the previous owners. There is a front deck and a balcony with a GORGEOUS water view. Satellite TV, Internet, Air Conditioning. A great spot to launch a kayak or canoe, you can then explore the Dock River!

Wonderful property on PEI

We stayed at the Briarwood for two weeks. The house has a lot of space, 7 bedrooms, 3 baths, 2 living areas, and a huge eat in kitchen and full dining area. The laundry is on the second floor and one of the bedrooms has a balcony access with a great view of the river. There are two more bedrooms on the third floor. We loved the space and the house was immaculate. There are two sets of stairs for the second floor access (one at each end of the house). The Inmans were wonderful hosts! The wood accents were beautiful and the decor really made the house special. The beds were comfortable and we spent a lot of time looking through the books and pictures at the house. We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it highly.

The house is only two minutes from Alberton with a great view of the river. Shopping and restaurants in Alberton are convenient (we visited the Bakery and Sidewalk Cafe regularly). This is a great location for exploring Prince County on the island. The Rodd Mill River golf course is only about 10 minutes away.

We are a five minute drive to the town of Alberton where you can dine, shop, visit the museum, walk on Confederation Trail, go to the gym, go to the library etc. There are three restaurants in the town and two banking institutions. We are about a fifteen minute drive to a sandy beach and a ten minute drive to a golf course. There is a fun park close by for the kiddies.
