The Lookout - A Perfect Perch Just off West Beach!

Looking for a getaway in Paradise? The Lookout at West Beach promises to be the perfect location to do just that!
Right in the heart of the action, and just one block off popular West Beach, this is the upstairs unit of a fully renovated luxury triplex. Freshly remodeled in July of 2015, every surface sparkles with all new "everything"! There are beautiful mountain views to one side, beautiful West Beach to the other. With designer style that was thoughtfully created by two well-known LA designers, this cozy and comfortable property offers guests not only a stylish experience, but a comfortable one too.
Teak plank flooring stretches throughout the entire apartment, with walls of windows that flood the space with plenty of sunshine and light. The open floor plan allows for easy conversation between the Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen, all with beautiful mountain views (and palm trees) as your backdrop. Though rarely needed due to all the windows that invite the coastal breezes to flow through the rooms, there is also newly installed central Air Conditioning.
A comfortable Living Room seating area faces the 60" Samsung Smart TV with all the newest features for streaming one's favorite shows and movies. Take time to look around, clever designer touches are everywhere! Two framed vintage blue bathing suits, colorful Kodak ad art, and original foam boogie boards and skim boards are iconic features reminiscent of the mid-century decades.
The Dining Table is a one-of-a-kind. It was handmade by an LA artist of reclaimed basketball court wood that was sanded down and purposely left to look weathered and used, clear coated and made into the table. At the breakfast bar, the hand carved solid walnut slab was brought in from Oregon, adding yet another special and thoughtful element. The suspended floating design was meant to to be the centerpiece of the apartment â€“ bringing nature, and “the outside” inside. A tranquil fountain from the patio below The Lookout creates soothing nature sounds that blend with this convenient urban environment.
The Master Bedroom features a king-size bed and "ocean peak" views. The second guest Bedroom offers a queen-size bed. In the Hallway Bathroom, a large tile shower tub combination feels luxurious and spacious, with a bright skylight creating the perfect natural lighting over the sink. Bathrobes have also been provided, adding that final touch of luxury.
Step out onto the private deck to enjoy the tall palm trees swaying in the ocean breeze with the vast blue sky overhead. In the nearby distance and just down the street, white sails on majestic masts stand at attention in the Harbor, and the blue ocean waters can be seen. A great seating area, bar with pass through to the Kitchen, and barbecue complete the deck's appeal. This will be the favorite place for a morning cup of espresso, "happy hour", or cool summer nights after hours, too!
With this ideal location in the heart of West Beach the sand and surf is just behind the home. The Lookout in fact, is at "Ground Zero" for the quintessential Santa Barbara visitor experience. Park your car, and walk to all the great scenic locations nearby. Stearn's Wharf and the world famous pier are a mere two blocks away. Enjoy a great breakfast at the original "Sambo's" restaurant right in our backyard, rent paddle boards and kayaks, play some beach volleyball, or, just take a leisurely walk at sunset on the boardwalk of Cabrillo Boulevard.
There are also bicycles for guests to use, as well as beach chairs and umbrellas plus plenty of beach and sports balls and toys. Best of all, even downtown Santa Barbara is short walk away. Guests will find themselves in the immensely popular "Funk Zone" right down the street from The Lookout. It is here that the busy wine tasting rooms, galleries, vintage shops and unique eateries can be experienced...all just steps away!
The Lookout sits above The Cottage at West Beach and The Hideaway at West Beach, each offering the similarly unique design and amenities. All 3 units of this Triplex are available through Paradise Retreats. Imagine a wonderful family reunion and rent all three!

3-Night minimum stay with the following additional restrictions:
High Season (Jun 15 - Sep 7)
7-Night minimum for all bookings made before May 1st.
3-Night minimum for current year bookings made after May 1st.
Thanksgiving Week (Any dates which include Thanksgiving Day)
7-Night minimum for all bookings made before Oct 1st.
3-Night minimum for current year bookings made after Oct 1st.
Christmas Weeks (Dec 19 - 26 & Dec 26 - Jan 2)
7-Night minimum (in the fixed weeks above) for all bookings made before Nov 1st.
3-Night minimum (and flexible dates) for current year bookings made after Nov 1st.
Stays of less than 30 nights are subject to a 12% Lodging Tax + $2/night Tourism Tax.
$250 Cleaning Fee (14+ night stays require additional cleaning fees), Booking Fee (varies based on reservation cost).
$1,000 security deposit refundable within 14 days of checkout. Deposit is reduced to $250 with purchase of Damage Waiver.
30+ night stays require extra security deposit, and do not qualify for the damage waiver program.

Great stay here at the "lookout." I hope to come back again and stay with my friends and family. What a beautiful family vacation that we were able to experience! This is the loveliest and most peaceful spot that we have ever been able to visit. Thanks again!
It's a great location, next to the beach and down town.
We stayed at the Lookout for 11 days and overall we were very happy with the property. The Lookout is well appointed and well stocked with bicycles, beach chairs, etc. The one negative is the property is located behind Hotel Milo and there are
many large delivery trucks daily(early AM) as well as trash pickup trucks as well. With the windows open it can be quite noisy.
Overall we had a very good stay and would probably rent again.
We loved this home and would definitely stay here again. The location in PERFECT. You can see the beach and you have State street so close, but it's still quiet in the apartment. It was super clean and nice in every way. We were two couples with infants and that worked very well!
Nice with the garage, washing machine and bbq on the balcony.
