About the property

One Bedroom Cottage Close To Countless Attractions And Dining.

Enjoy the Hendersonville area in our lovely early 1900s community. We have lovingly restored this one bedroom cottage with quality antiques and fine furnishings and linens. Nestled under huge shade trees and park like grounds, you will be comfortable inside, on the porch, or on a bench under a tree. We are dog friendly to conscientious owners. There are many scenic, low traffic areas to walk in our community. We are a two minute walk to a couple of gentle waterfall areas and Rhododendron Lake park(See pics).

The living room features a queen sized sleeper sofa, additional seating and a 50" T.V. and Internet. This dining room comfortably seats four. The bedroom features a queen bed with high quality linens and closet. The back porch has a gas grill and seating/dining area that overlooks a large dog run that is available. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up a local grown Carolina meal or enjoy some of our local wines and craft beer. We have been consistent users of vacation rentals and wanted to offer our guest home with all of the comforts we look for when traveling. We hope to see you soon!

About owner/property manager

I work all over the world, but love the call the Western Carolinas my home. I grew up in Florida, but moved to Hendersonville in 2006. Waking up to 60 degree mornings in June lets me know I made the right decision.

owner/property manager purchased this cottage in 2015

Why owner/property manager chose North Carolina

I fell in love with this property the moment I saw it. The estate was built in the early 1900s. I have a weakness for the character of older homes. With a separate maids quarters and guest cottage, the property is great for hosting. I pulled up green(lovely color choice of the seventies)carpet and restored the original hardwood floors. I had fun finding vintage furniture pieces that came together to create a cozy and classy living space.

What makes this cottage unique

There is a fenced in dog run (see pic) that can be used to allow your furry friend to run around. The neighborhood roads are lightly traveled and great for walks through this early 1900s community.

In a word Charming

Serene setting nestled into a sylvan glade, private but convenient to Downtown Hendersonville. Small cottage but it has everything you need. Great area for walking and sightseeing. In a word charming.

Cute Cottage in the Woods

  • 5 of 5

The home is convenient to downtown Hendersonville and close to Jump Off Rock scenic overlook and trails. It's nestled in the woods in a quiet neighborhood. For those wanting to walk without driving, the roads around the cottage are perfect. The dog run in the back is a nice touch. The home was stocked with lotions, soaps, shampoos, coffee, tea, and many other items which made it feel like home. The fresh cut flowers in the dining table were a beautiful touch. It's clear the owners care about making the guests feel welcome.

Nice cozy place

  • 5 of 5

This little cottage was a great place to stay for our visit. It is tucked away among huge trees in a very nice neighborhood. It has everything

you need and more supplied for your convenience, even a little wine. Coffee, tea, cream etc. all included in a complete kitchen, even honey

and sauces. TV, wifi are all set up, and plenty of heat for the cool nights. The cottage was furnished with many interesting antiques that fit

right in with the dark knotty pine woodwork. Owner was friendly and very helpful. Hope to stay here again!

Charming cottage but communication to get through to owner has been most difficult

  • 5 of 5

I have written two 5 star reviews about our stay in this cottage but now frustrated with communication that I can't get through. Going through HomeAway has not been easy for us. We have 2 properties that have trees on them on the coast from hurricane Matthew so I don't have time to keep trying.. sorry

This place was wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

I had a wonder stay in this Laurel Park cottage. It was comfortably cozy for me and my dog. The street it's situated on doesn't see much traffic so it's perfect for walking the dog around. I have zero complaints about this place. I will be recommending this one to all my friends. Thank you, Mike and Diane!
