We stayed two weeks (before and after Memorial Day, 2016) and had a great time in this huge luxury condo.
The balcony has great views of just the sand, ocean and sky, with two very comfortable rotating/rocking chairs. You also get this view from the living room and kitchen. Everything inside is new and modern. The large kitchen was perfect, even a wine fridge. Living room TV has high resolution with hundreds of Comcast cable channels (including Starz and HBO) - good for lazy rainy days. All the furniture is very comfortable, including nice soft beds (1K + 2D); we did not use Queen sleeper. Towels and nice sheets were included with the rental.
Our family has been coming to OC, MD for about 15 years since our kids were young. We mostly stay further north in peak season. This place is about the same cost out-of-season as those places in peak-season, but you can definitely see what you are getting for the extra cost.
The only negative to our stay was construction noise from balcony railing repairs. We were rocked out of bed Monday morning at 8:30am to the sound of jackhammers removing concrete. Even though it was the corner units being worked on, the vibrations went through the whole building - and continued most of the day. To be fair to the owners and brokers, the work was supposed to be finished before we arrived. The good news for those following us in 2016 is that: a) they will not start new repairs for the summer season, just finish off the corner 6-block (banging and drilling continued occasionally on weekdays for our two week stay, but thankfully no more jackhammers after the second day!) and b) this unit has the good balcony/concrete so will not need repairs. We got some financial compensation from the owners, which we thought was fair. The bottom line was that both the VRBO broker and owners were very responsive. (a call to the broker also got our WiFi turned on with Comcast.).
1. x-cargo on top of our van, meant parking in the adjacent lot, which was fine.
2. Being closer to the boardwalk, we visited more often than when staying further north.
3. Elevators were incredibly fast and and cool. I think 10 seconds was our longest wait.
4. Great views of the fantastic Seacrets fireworks on the bay (Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend) from the hall outside our unit.
This is the probably the most luxurious condo you can get in OC - and would recommend this particular unit (and the VRBO broker and unit's owners).
