Overview

About the property

1 Bedoorm(King) + Queen Murphy Bed, Bath w/Tiled Shower, Free WiFi & Parking

'Our Piece Of Paradise' is a BEACHFRONT, GROUND FLOOR WALK-OUT with an unobstructed OCEANFRONT view. On a beautiful, quiet, sandy beach that is only 30 steps away. Our beach is reef protected, meaning the waves break offshore. So the ones coming onto the beach are calm. Making our part of the ocean good for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing, and fishing. It's especially good for small children.

Please notice, we have 2 condos now! If this one is booked, look at listing #3777905, we just bought it a few months ago. We did some other remodeling on this one, too, the last time we were there. We just finished remodeling the bathroom. We took out the tub and replaced it with a beautiful tiled shower. We also took down the popcorn ceiling and replaced it with a nice flower petal design. That along with the new tile floor we put in the bedroom, are some of the minor updates we've put in that don't show up very well in the pictures. We want you to enjoy our vacation home, and come to love it as we do. Our goal is to have you walk in, take one look at the gorgeous ocean view, feel the Trade Winds blowing through, listen to the waves... and immediately relax & let all your stress start melting away. Close your eyes and imagine it now.... doesn't it sound wonderful?

We enjoy beautiful sunrises in the morning and moon rises at night. We have seen big Sea Turtles sleeping on the beach in the morning, and Whales spouting and breaching on the ocean(from November to April). We like to sit on the patio and watch the waves break on the reef, sometimes we even sleep on the Murphy bed in the living room just so the waves can lull us to sleep. Then, if we leave the curtains open a little, we can wake up to a gorgeous sunrise streaming in through the lanai window. It is truly our idea of Paradise! Hopefully, it will become yours, too!

Many people have told us we have the best location in the building because of our unobstructed ocean view, along with the convenience of being able to just walk right out to the beach. Which you will have practically all to yourself, because there is no public beach access. The pool area is also just for residents, you need a key FOB to enter (which helps to make it safer for kids).

You'll be happy to know there is no lock box to mess with. We are one of the few owners who employ an agent to welcome our guests personally. She will show you where everything is, how to use it, and be your on-island contact person while you are here to help with any questions you may have.

You will have ''No Worries'' as the locals say...only to decide if you are going to spend the day on the beautiful beach outside your lanai or go for a scenic drive along the coast to do some sightseeing.

We have a true 1-bedroom (not the small sleeping alcove some call a bedroom). We also have lots of dresser, closet, and cabinet space, so you will be able to empty your suitcases and make yourself at home. We know some of you like to fall asleep listening to the TV, so we have one in the bedroom and one in the living room. We have tried to stock our vacation home with all the things we enjoy when we are traveling. In fact, we've just added some things from reading our guests comments about some things they thought would be nice to have, that we didn't think of before.

One of my favorite things is the Murphy Bed. You will have the choice to sleep in the bedroom on the king size Sealy Plush bed, or in the front room listening to the waves and waking up to see the Sunrise from the queen size Serta Euro-Top Murphy Bed. When we remodeled, we purchased new SS appliances, cabinets, counter tops, rattan furniture, linens, dishes & silverware, cookware, beach towels & mats, beach chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards, 2 coolers, 2 lounging chairs, binoculars, and much more.

There is almost always a nice breeze blowing thru the condo due to the trade winds, but for those who like a fan...we have 2 ceiling fans with remotes and a pedestal fan. We have a big assortment of books & DVDs for all ages. We have also prepared a binder showing nearby grocery stores, churches, restaurants, and doctor; along with sightseeing tips, coupon books, and shopping suggestions.

We purchased ''Our Piece Of Paradise'' in 2011 and spent 2 months remodeling it. The kitchen was the most time consuming, but it was worth it because it was a labor of love. We've hired the best cleaning person in the building so our guests can be assured the condo will be freshly cleaned and ready for you to enjoy. For those of you who like some added piece of mind, there is a security guard on duty from 8pm-6am Monday thru Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday.

About Chris and Al Livingston

Al asked me one day what my favorite place of all was to go on vacation. I didn't hesitate for a minute, I said 'if I could afford it, I would go to Hawaii every year'. So he surprised me with a trip to Paradise for my birthday. He had never been there before, but he came to love it as much as I did. We had been engaged for over 3 years and just didn't have time to plan a wedding, or know where to do it since our families where spread out across the country. So one morning, not to long before we were supposed to go home, he surprised me with a trip to get a marriage license... and we were married at 'Sunset on the Beach' two days later! Needless to say....I have come to LOVE his surprises!! ;)

Chris and Al Livingston purchased this condo in 2011

Why Chris and Al Livingston chose Hauula

Since then, it was always a dream of ours to own our own 'Piece Of Paradise'. But we wanted to be away from all the traffic and congestion of Honolulu. Our favorite part of the island was the North Shore area, so we started looking there. We fell in love with this condo is soon as we walked in and looked thru it...to see the ocean right out the lanai! We also thought it was a sign that it should be ours because the condo's number is the date we got married!! :)

What makes this condo unique

We would love to share 'Our Piece Of Paradise' with you, so you can have the same wonderful experience in Paradise that we do. We especially love it when we have couples stay who are getting married or honeymooning on the island...it brings back some great memories! But we also really enjoy making any occasion you have...even more special!! Just like one of our favorite sayings, 'What happens in Hawaii... stays with you forever'!! :)

We are centrally located for many of the popular tourist attractions. We're 10 minutes from the Polynesian Cultural Center, BYU campus, Laie Temple, and Kualoa Ranch; 15 minutes from Turtle Bay Golf Course; 20 minutes from the popular surfing beaches and Waimea Valley; 25 minutes from Kaneohe Bay and the Marine Corps Base; and 30 minutes from Kailua and Haleiwa.

Notes:
We have tried to stock 'Our Piece Of Paradise' with everything that we have appreciated while on vacation ourselves in the past. We have beach chairs, towels & mats, at least 2 boogie boards, 4 snorkels & masks, and 2 pair of swim fins. There is also a pair of binoculars, 2 coolers, a hair dryer, clock radio, iron and ironing board. Our bathroom has a tub & shower for those who like both. There is almost always a nice breeze blowing thru the condo due to the trade winds, but for those who like a fan...we have 2 ceiling fans with remotes and a pedestal fan. We have a big assortment of books & DVD's for all ages. We have also prepared a binder showing nearby grocery stores, churches, restaurants, gear rental info, sightseeing tips, and shopping suggestions. The complex also has a fitness room for those who like to keep in shape while on vacation. There is also a security guard on duty from 8pm-6am Monday thru Friday and all day Saturday & Sunday, for those who like added piece of mind.

Great location on Oahu-easy to travel either way to Honolulu and close to great beaches

  • 5 of 5

The condo had amazing ocean views and amazing sunrises.

It had everything for cooking and ample towels, sheets, comfortable pillows and beach supplies. The "Murphy" bed was so comfortable and you can hear the ocean waves. I will definitely stay again and highly recommend this condo.

Wonderful on the Beach Condo

  • 5 of 5

Private Beach! So you walk out onto your lanai and literally 25 steps to the beach. A beach that has hardly anyone on it. You are on the windward side of the island so it was very breezy, almost too breezy to enjoy the water with little kids. That being said how often can you find a place where you are the only person taking a morning swim in the warm ocean? Not super great for snorkeling. Right by the pool, don't have to deal with an elevator, quiet, nicely decorated. We cooked a lot of breakfasts and a few dinners, but if you don't want to cook just walk across the street to the food trucks. OMG.....try each one...really...or head up the coast 10 minutes to the Polynesian Cultural Center... or Papa Ole's...it's a really central location on the North Coast. There's no AC so if you are OK with fans it's awesome when the trade winds are blowing. The septic system on the road side of the building was pretty off putting in the parking lot. It was not a problem on the beach side but we had to close the front door a few times. The owners of this condo are AWESOME and really helpful. I would stay here again just because they were so cool. The parking spot right next to the condo was a plus as well as visible security.

Beautiful home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

Just beautiful! Loved walking out from our patio directly on to the grass and then just on to the beautiful beach. The interior of the condo has everything you could possibly need for a beach stay. A huge closet housed nice Tommy Bahamas's beach chairs, beach umbrella, several sizes of snorkels and fins, beach towels, 6 boogie boards of all sizes, large cooler, small cooler, ice packs, beach bags, even a few sun visors. The appliances were high end and in great condition. The kitchen was better stocked than my own. Travel mugs for coffee was a great touch. The condo is updated with a great shower and solid counters with first class decor. We loved having an almost new washer and dryer and fast wi-fi. There are nice quality comfortable lanai lounge chairs, too. Plenty of useful information was set out on local places to go, and what to see. The very awarded shrimp truck (Aloha Shrimp) is so close you can walk there in 5 minutes. We saw a big turtle as we walked out on to "our" beach within minutes of our arrival. Our beach was beautiful and sandy, and the water was so clear!

If you are looking for a resort/high rise stuffy type place, this is not it. This is a more local, relaxed, traditional Hawaiian atmosphere. This complex is an older one, and it shows when driving up, but stepping in to the renovated condo itself will erase any doubt. You may possibly hear voices in the hallway when you are in the bedroom because the bedroom window is in area where the mailboxes are. In my opinion, the other great qualities of this place totally make up for any voices you may hear while you are in the bedroom.

We loved our stay and it felt like our little piece of paradise🌺?

Chris was helpful, enthusiastic and easy to work with, too!

Wonderful home away for our family

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing stay at this beachfront condo. This was our first big trip with our 19 month old son and I am so glad we chose to stay here. Every morning we watched the sunrise from our patio and our son could run around in the grass having a blast chasing the birds. The beach was perfect for us and the pool was great too. Having the beach toys and body boards and stuff to use was fantastic. The area around the property is quiet and laid back and it was super close to drive to places on the north shore. We just had a blast!

Condo Rentel

  • 4 of 5

Location, location, location! If you're staying on Oahu and not wanting the hustle and bustle of the Honolulu traffic, this is an excellent option. It is closely located to a few major tourist attractions! Kualoa Ranch is just down the road 15 minutes. The Polynesian Cultural Center is up the road 10 minutes. The Dole Plantation is a scenic drive on the Northern part of the Island. We drove to Honolulu to catch our bus tour for Pear Harbor, the traffic is equitable to Chicago traffic. :( The Sea Life Park was a disappointment, while we did swim with the dolphins, the rest of the park was below par. Several exhibits were closed and the schedule of exhibits opening was NOT on time. Don't waste your money...unless you're going to swim with the dolphins.

The condo is well maintained and easily accessible. The downfall, if you need air conditioning this is not for you; however, when the trade winds are blowing, there is wonderful air movement. It's tropical :)
