Great Property - Completely relaxed!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous time over the Presidents Day holiday. We were able to spend time with our kids and relax in the beautiful sunshine. Be sure you purchase a fishing license if you decide to fish because the park ranger did drive up on a boat and demand that we show our fishing license. The house is comfortable and clean with plenty of fun to be had. The pool table was great and there were plenty of board games and movies to choose from. We would definitely rent this property again!

Christmas Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed there for Christmas with our two daughters and four-year-old grandson as a surprise to my wife's parents who live in Boomer. The house was as advertised, very spacious for everyone, kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans ,plates, etc. Because of the weather we did not get a chance to go down to the lake but do plan to reserve in the future so we can use the pontoon boat. We would definitely recommend.

Quick stay but very nice

  • 5 of 5

My family and my brother in laws family stayed here over this past weekend due to a funeral we were all attending( figured a home would be better than cramming everyone in hotel rooms with kids) The house was very spacious for everyone, kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans ,plates, ect. the lake is gorgious, and the basement had games to keep everyone entertained. We hope to make a trip back when they are renting the boat along with the house to take a tour of the lake. All in all even though our trip was brief it was a very nice place to stay.

Beautiful Home & Property in a Perfect Location!

  • 5 of 5

The photos of this place don't do it justice. This is a beautiful home and is very nicely appointed. Everything you'd need was there and in a logical place. The home owners were great to work with and were quick to respond. The lake is beautiful and the back yard is huge. My friends and I were here to ride the mountain bike trails and the house is perfectly located. It sits just 2.5 miles from Warrior Creek and about 1.5 miles from entrance to OVT with good access to the Dark Mountain trail system as well. The riding is fantastic there. Wilkesboro, just 10 minutes away, had plenty of restaurants and shops for supplies. We will definitely be back.

Great vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

The kitchen was well equipped. The large deck was a great gathering place for early morning coffee while the kids played and evening conversations after the heat of the day.

The floating dock was great for fishing and swimming. Overall, we had a fantastic vacation.

The house was even "more" than I expected!

  • 5 of 5

It was wonderful and the perfect location with a wedding to attend directly across the lake. Family and friends could easily find us, plenty of room for all of us and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. The gas grill outside was perfect for cooking for a large group. The only real problem we had was communication---cell phones just don't work properly there but that may be a real benefit if you are trying to "get away".

The house made our joyous occasion complete. We're thinking about coming back when things are not so hectic and we can take more advantage of the location. Certainly a wonderful home to enjoy with family.
