Perfect weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

My fiancé and I only stayed for a feeble nights but it was everything that we could ask for! Plenty of space and a perfect setup for a quiet weekend! It was only a short drive into the city but was just far enough away so that you could get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Very close to the Schuylkill and other parks and right down the street from several restaurants and stores so we were never far from anything! The apartment itself was immaculate and plenty of supplies for us when we got there! Orange juice and water were already stocked in the fridge and there were plenty of towels, garbage bags, shampoo and conditioner, and cleaning supplies in the closets! Hopefully we’ll be able to stay here the next time we come up to visit!!

Safe and Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This locale pretty much suited every need that we had. Alan is a great host. The neighborhood

consists of beautiful old houses, and once you get the hang of it, driving into Philly is not difficult.

Cute apartment, happy with our stay

  • 5 of 5

Molly and Alan's home was very clean and roomy enough to fit 6 people. They provided milk, juice and water which we really appreciated. They were very responsive. If I'm in Philly soon I'd be happy to stay here again!

Cozy, Warm, Inviting Apartment

  • 5 of 5

A lovely apartment in a quiet area, easily accessible to everything in Philadelphia and beyond. Clean and very well maintained with very comfortable beds and all of the comforts of home, this was the perfect home-away-from-home for my family for a month! Alan and Molly were terrific, providing detailed information about local shops and restaurants even before we arrived. Always responsive by email and friendly in person when we met, we hope to return the next time we are in Philly!

A nice place to stay while in town

  • 5 of 5

This is a great home base to stay in while visiting Philadelphia. The place is clean and situated in a pretty section of the city. There is both curbside parking as well as a reserved spot in the back that is harder to come by in other locations. This was a perfect place for our family of four that included a three and a seven year old. If you are considering this property here are a few things that you might find helpful to know. It is on the third floor (so there are a few flights of stairs that you do need to navigate up and down). There is also an exposed stairwell within the apartment that might make it less conducive for inquisitive toddlers. The house has character typical of an older home with slanted ceilings (but not a problem for my 6 foot spouse) and doors that sometimes stick with humidity. The kitchen and living room seating might be tight for groups larger than ours, but dining room table could also be pulled out the of its current alcove to accommodate 4 adults. There is no dishwasher and the tub is a clawfoot tub with wraparound shower curtain. There is a larger bed and a twin bed in each of the two bedrooms. These were not a problem for our group (I actually appreciate the charm), but they might be considerations for others. It is located within walking distance to Fairmount Park and many of the attractions within the park such as the Please Touch Museum and the zoo. I would definitely consider staying here again if the opportunity presents itself in the future.
