Enjoy a relaxing week in a private classic Cape Cod cottage. This 3 bedroom cottage features a large private yard and a screened in porch. The house is steps away from Squeteague Harbor, Windsor Cove and Hospital Cove.
Bassetts Island, Red Brook Harbor, Megansett Harbor and Lawrence Island all are within easy paddle or, in most cases, walking distance.
Located close to local restaurants, including the Chart Room and the Courtyard. Easy access to the Falmouth Bike Path.
We loved this house and the location. A very large family reunion called for more space and this house was perfect. A large yard is perfect for children and lawn games. The house is well equipped.
The pictures that we saw were exactly what we found when we arrived at this beautiful, clean, and well-maintained property. We've stayed at other properties listed on Homeaway.com and found that "linens provided" sometimes means two towels despite the fact that our reservation was for more people. Not the case here. We had all the linens we needed for bedding, bathing, beach visits, dish washing, and then more. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, except food. One of the members of the owner's family stopped by to check in on us the morning after we arrived to be sure that everything was OK. The location is conveniently located between Hyannis (site of Kennedy history), Falmouth (fairy to Martha's Vineyard), and Plymouth (where the Mayflower docked). Nearby ice cream stands, a short walk to a private beach, and short drives to by groceries made this a perfect stay. Despite the fact that the weather was warmer than much of the year and that there is no AC, the fans cooled things off in the house really well and we were comfortable. We don't choose to have cable or satellite TV at home, so having access to watching TV during the Olympics was a huge bonus for our kids, and since there was WiFi available, we could connect when we needed to without using our data plan. In summary: highly recommended property - owners are fabulous and quick to respond - if we vacation in Cape Cod again, we'd look to see if this house were available before checking out others. Unless AC is a must have for you or the size (sleeps 9 in 3 bedrooms + living room pull-out), you can't go wrong with this rental.
Built in 1890, this rental has genuine Cape Cod charm. The bedrooms are a comfortable size and easily sleep 7. It has a working kitchen that is well stocked... we made large meals there every evening. Great deck on one side of the house, screened in porch on the other. The location is great, with easy access to two different harbors that are perfect for kayaking and canoeing. The house sits on one of the larger lots in the neighborhood... very private. Chris the owner was great - promptly answered all of my questions and was very accommodating. He allowed us to add an additional night on the front end and on very short notice, which helped a lot. Hope to be back next summer!
