our family of 4 stayed in this great cabin which was more than enough room with full amenities. the cabin was spacious and well taken care of. We loved the Gull Haven property and the beach. The beach is sandy with lots of room to play and swim including beach chairs. This cabin is close to Highway 371 so can't sleep with the windows open but it's fine when you sit on the other side or in the screened porch. we loved that it was close to Nisswa. We plan to return for future vacations.
We had a very enjoyable time in your cabin. The kitchen was very well stocked with nice appliances. The lighting in the living room area could have been better for reading. But overall we had a great time. We were disappointed that we paid $35 a day for a boat lift that did not work properly ,as it would not hold. I noticed there was a bearing out of it. Also parking was a problem in the evening and we had to leave the boat and trailer on the street. It seemed like a lot of cars around and no marked space for our cabin. Over all we had a great time.
Thank You Jack & Norma Stander
Our family of 6 adults and 3 babies stayed for a week in the cabin and we had plenty of room. The 3 bathrooms were especially nice to have! Beach was a bit farther away than we would have liked, but on the windy days it was nice to have the protection from the other cabins. Very clean cabin. Nice sandy beach with many chairs. Private firepit next to cabin would be nice as beach ones were always crowded and too far for sleeping babies.
My family and I enjoyed a long weekend in this cabin. With six adults, we had more than enough space to spread out (the 3 bathrooms were a plus!). The cabin is spacious, newly updated with high-end fixtures, and very clean. We appreciated and made use of the fully stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. We also appreciated the handful of DVDs and games available, which came in handy when it rained one of the days during our stay. The waterfront, while shared with others staying in surrounding Gull Haven cabins was beautiful and sandy. We spent most of our time relaxing on the reclining chairs on the beach and roasting s'mores over the fire pits. The shared beach was never a problem and still felt quiet and peaceful. One thing to note, the wifi in the cabin wasn't super strong - but if you're here for vacation, then that shouldn't be an issue (it was strong enough for Netflix, however!). Another thing: we did have two separate instances where people tried to enter our cabin thinking it was the office. It wasn't a big deal at all though - probably more awkward for them than us! Unanimously, everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their stay. We would DEFINITELY recommend, although we wouldn't mind keeping this place our secret :) We plan on booking for a longer stay next summer!
WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS! This cabin was perfect for our family vacation. The remodeled interior was beautiful and the beach was awesome. The location is on a more unprotected area of Gull so the lake was very choppy on the windy days, but we got some boating in during the evening when it calmed down a bit. The kids loved the fire pit on the beach and roasting s'mores as the sun went down. One MINOR recommendation would be to add a binder in the cabin that gives more information on the property, i.e. where the garbage is located, etc.
Very nice place, enjoyed our stay, although our unit had some issues: no blinds on windows, fans in bathrooms didn't work, molding not on closets.
