Welcome to our family home on rue Maitre Albert! This one-bedroom apartment is loaded with ancient Parisian charm and has been lovingly prepared for your visit to Paris, and we hope you will enjoy it.
The apartment is just steps from the magnificent Notre Dame cathedral and the river Seine, and in the other direction you'll find Place Maubert with its fresh food market three times per week, two supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and everything else you could hope for in a typically Parisian neighborhood.
The apartment features a new large queen bed (160 cm x 200 cm), as well as a small daybed in the bedroom area for lounging or for accommodating a child traveling with you. There is also a small armoire where you can unpack your belongings.
The spacious living area has a dining table for 4, a writing desk, a TV with a few English news channels, a telephone with free international calling to many destinations, and WiFi internet (with a modem you can plug directly into with an Ethernet cable if you prefer). The living area also has a closet with space for you to hang clothing and store your suitcases.
The full bathroom has a toilet, sink and a large bathtub with a wall-mounted shower attachment. The sink area has a medicine cabinet above it for storage of personal toiletries.
The kitchen has a bar area with two bar stools and is a great place to hang out and talk while cooking up a great meal with fresh food purchased in the neighborhood. The kitchen has all the important appliances: a refrigerator with a small freezer; a clothes washer/dryer combination unit; a dishwasher; a two-burner electric induction stove; an oven; a microwave and lovely granite countertops.
Towels and bed linens are provided, along with basic items like bath soap, clothes washing detergent, coffee, salt and pepper, and many other items to help you feel at home.
The apartment is located on the first floor French (second floor to North Americans) and does NOT have an elevator. You will need to walk up one flight of stairs (pictured).
Rue Maitre Albert is a small one-way street, right by the river Seine and Place Maubert. You will find this neigborhood has just about everything you could need! Our favorite is the fresh market three times per week just at the end of the street at Place Maubert.
The old-world charm of neighborhood is unquestionable, and for travelers visiting Paris, we think you'll find our apartment to be a fantastic home base!

This apartment was purchased by me and my husband and our daughter. We love to spend time here, but can't be here year-round, so we're happy to share it with travelers who we hope will enjoy Paris and the 5th arrondissement as much as we do!
Owner/Manager purchased this apartment in 2005
Rue Maitre Albert is our favorite street in Paris!
We have always loved rue Maitre Albert, with its proximity to absolutely everything - like the great market just at the end of the street at Place Maubert (three times per week). The charm of neighborhood is unquestionable, and for travelers visiting Paris, it's a fantastic home base!
If you are looking for an old building with beams, tile floors, just a block from the Seine and Notre Dame with antiques but modern conveniences, then this is the place for you. The photos you see on the internet are what you get starting with entering the building.
Our stay was comfortable and peaceful. We were there for 10 days over the holidays and the area was crawling with tourists, but very few ventured down our little street. Being on the (American ) second floor, you can hear street traffic and people talking due to the narrow street and tall buildings. But for us, this is what life is like in the most visited city in the world.
We have visited Paris several times staying in hotels. Acquiring an apartment is the best way to visit any city or town. We will return again to Paris and will be sure to rent this beautiful apartment again.
I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Paris – close to everything, but on a small, quiet street! Rather than repeat all the praise given by other reviewers, with which we wholeheartedly agree, I’ll just say it made our trip absolutely perfect! We were able to book this apartment with very short notice, thanks to Ruben’s responsiveness. Also, many thanks to Madeleine for greeting us and making us feel welcome. We will definitely be back!
Our vacation in Paris was everything we hoped it would be, in large part because of this wonderful property and the great service by Ruben and his team. The property was just as described. It's location, charm, and comfort left nothing to be desired! We loved being in this location in the Latin Quarter, so close to everything we hoped to do and see in Paris. We loved being tucked a little away from the hustle-and-bustle, yet right around the corner from Notre Dame, the Seine River, and so much more!
We visit Paris quite regularly, always renting apartments, and can testify that this one is a gem! Excellent location, between Notre Dame and Quartier Latin, located in a small and quiet street that shields you from the noise of the city. Very close to subway and buses, with food market three times a week and plenty of restaurants and stores around… The apartment itself is really as advertised in the photos, may be even better. Beautiful furniture, tasty decoration, large comfortable bed (not that common in Paris!!). Kitchen is well equipped with quality appliances and bathroom is beautiful.
Ruben and his team were very responsive (well, we did not really need their services, everything was perfect…), but we were offered a bottle of wine by Madeleine when she welcomed us, an Ruben granted us a late check out despite having guests checking in the same day. And all the small items that you need to start feeling at home and are typically a pain to collect were already here when we arrived. That does not happen by accident, so thank you Ruben!
I have stayed here 2 times and about to book a third. It's my apartment in Paris. Close to the market, Metro and Notre Dame. And yet it's on a quite little street with real local charm. Stay a week, stay a month, it's got a great kitchen, washer dryer and a relaxing living room to wind down in after a day of experiencing Paris. Rubin is great and looks out after your arrival. Use his limo guy from the airport. Afraid to say too much, the apartment might get booked for when I want to return.
Ruben and his team provide a very comfortable apartment in a terrific location. The kitchen was well equiped, the washing machine/dryer was a big plus, and the furnishings were very attractive. Ruben runs a very professional operation. We were met on time and given all the support we needed.
Because you're in a busy part of the city, expect some noise in the evenings.
A great flat. We look forward to our next visit.
