Overview

5th Arrondissement Latin Quarter Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)

Welcome to our family home on rue Maitre Albert! This one-bedroom apartment is loaded with ancient Parisian charm and has been lovingly prepared for your visit to Paris, and we hope you will enjoy it.

The apartment is just steps from the magnificent Notre Dame cathedral and the river Seine, and in the other direction you'll find Place Maubert with its fresh food market three times per week, two supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and everything else you could hope for in a typically Parisian neighborhood.

The apartment features a new large queen bed (160 cm x 200 cm), as well as a small daybed in the bedroom area for lounging or for accommodating a child traveling with you. There is also a small armoire where you can unpack your belongings.

The spacious living area has a dining table for 4, a writing desk, a TV with a few English news channels, a telephone with free international calling to many destinations, and WiFi internet (with a modem you can plug directly into with an Ethernet cable if you prefer). The living area also has a closet with space for you to hang clothing and store your suitcases.

The full bathroom has a toilet, sink and a large bathtub with a wall-mounted shower attachment. The sink area has a medicine cabinet above it for storage of personal toiletries.

The kitchen has a bar area with two bar stools and is a great place to hang out and talk while cooking up a great meal with fresh food purchased in the neighborhood. The kitchen has all the important appliances: a refrigerator with a small freezer; a clothes washer/dryer combination unit; a dishwasher; a two-burner electric induction stove; an oven; a microwave and lovely granite countertops.

Towels and bed linens are provided, along with basic items like bath soap, clothes washing detergent, coffee, salt and pepper, and many other items to help you feel at home.

The apartment is located on the first floor French (second floor to North Americans) and does NOT have an elevator. You will need to walk up one flight of stairs (pictured).

Rue Maitre Albert is a small one-way street, right by the river Seine and Place Maubert. You will find this neigborhood has just about everything you could need! Our favorite is the fresh market three times per week just at the end of the street at Place Maubert.

The old-world charm of neighborhood is unquestionable, and for travelers visiting Paris, we think you'll find our apartment to be a fantastic home base!

Love this Apartment

  • 5 of 5

This was our fourth time staying at this apartment. The location is excellent, it is well appointed, clean, everything you need is there . We have stayed in Paris before in Hotels, which is fine, but lacks the sense of actually living as a Parisian. If you want a true Paris experience, try this apartment, restaurants and cafes abound, you are a couple hundred yards (meters) from Notre Dame.

Excellent location !

  • 4 of 5

This property is in an excellent location in Paris -- very easy to access all parts of the city. We were there in July, and if it is hot, the apartment gets stuffy. A ceiling fan would be a great addition !

Paris Maitre Albert Apartment

  • 2 of 5

Well located, within walking distance of many Paris attractions, restaurants and bars.

The apartment is full of character, decorated with an antique style but cluttered with too many personal items of the owner, leaving no storage space for guests belongings. There was no wardrobe or chest of drawers. The condition of the furnishings was 'tired', sofa and chairs needing reupholstering or replacing. Kitchen and bathroom were good and apartment was clean.

Loved the apartment, charming and cozy, filled with antiques, great kitchen, wonderful location, fabulous selection of restaurants very near, walk to amazing sights. I wonder how many people it took over the centuries to wear the stairs

to their current condition. Intreging. Thank you Rubin.

Perfect location and accommodations.

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to Paris and the apartment is located in an ideal place in the Latin Quarter. Within walking distance of good restaurants and all the sights and sounds of Paris. On our arrival, the host welcomed us with a smile and a bottle of wine. The apartment was exactly as advertised. When my wife says, "Wow!!!", I know I have gotten it right.

Thank-you Ruben for making our stay in Paris a wonderful experience.

A Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here the week of 4/4/16 - 4/8/16 to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We had a wonderful stay. We were met at the apartment and immediately felt welcome. The place is close to everything: Notre Dame, The Pantheon, two Metro Stations, the grocery market, bakeries, and Cafe's to numerous to name. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and spacious. I particular liked having a fridge and clothes washer. It was nice putting clothes to wash when we came in for the evening so that there was much less to do when we flew home on Friday. I know some previous reviewers commented about noise. We had arrived in Paris after 4 days in London at a hotel on Tower Hill and found the apartment location extremely quiet by comparison. Was there some noise? Sure, but you're in a city so it should be expected. I'd like to also give a "shout out" to the owner of the toy store at the front of the street along Quai de la Tournelle. She was extremely friendly and my wife and I spent over an hour in her store just chatting. One of the great things about a VRBO is that you get to feel a part of the community and we found the area extremely welcoming, even for Americans with an extremely limited French vocabulary. Finally, I'd like to also thank Blacklane Limousines. Somehow our camera was left in the car. The driver contacted us when he found it and is in the process of shipping it back to us in the States. All in all a wonderful trip.
