About the property

Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)

Please note: there's CLEANING FEE of 80 EUROS and is NOT included in the quoted rental rate.

Welcome to our family home on rue Maitre Albert! This one-bedroom apartment is loaded with ancient Parisian charm and has been lovingly prepared for your visit to Paris, and we hope you will enjoy it.

The apartment is just steps from the magnificent Notre Dame cathedral and the river Seine, and in the other direction you'll find Place Maubert with its fresh food market three times per week, two supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and everything else you could hope for in a typically Parisian neighborhood.

The apartment features a new large queen bed (160 cm x 200 cm), as well as a small daybed in the bedroom area for lounging or for accommodating a child traveling with you. There is also a small armoire where you can unpack your belongings.

The spacious living area has a dining table for 4, a writing desk, a TV with a few English news channels, a telephone with free international calling to many destinations, and WiFi internet (with a modem you can plug directly into with an Ethernet cable if you prefer). The living area also has a closet with space for you to hang clothing and store your suitcases.

The full bathroom has a toilet, sink and a large bathtub with a wall-mounted shower attachment. The sink area has a medicine cabinet above it for storage of personal toiletries.

The kitchen has a bar area with two bar stools and is a great place to hang out and talk while cooking up a great meal with fresh food purchased in the neighborhood. The kitchen has all the important appliances: a refrigerator with a small freezer; a clothes washer/dryer combination unit; a dishwasher; a two-burner electric induction stove; an oven; a microwave and lovely granite countertops.

Towels and bed linens are provided, along with basic items like bath soap, clothes washing detergent, coffee, salt and pepper, and many other items to help you feel at home.

The apartment is located on the first floor French (second floor to North Americans) and does NOT have an elevator. You will need to walk up one flight of stairs (pictured).

Rue Maitre Albert is a small one-way street, right by the river Seine and Place Maubert. You will find this neigborhood has just about everything you could need! Our favorite is the fresh market three times per week just at the end of the street at Place Maubert.

The old-world charm of neighborhood is unquestionable, and for travelers visiting Paris, we think you'll find our apartment to be a fantastic home base!

About Owner/Manager

This apartment was purchased by me and my husband and our daughter. We love to spend time here, but can't be here year-round, so we're happy to share it with travelers who we hope will enjoy Paris and the 5th arrondissement as much as we do!

Owner/Manager purchased this apartment in 2005

Why Owner/Manager chose 5th Arrondissement Latin Quarter

Rue Maitre Albert is our favorite street in Paris!

What makes this apartment unique

We have always loved rue Maitre Albert, with its proximity to absolutely everything - like the great market just at the end of the street at Place Maubert (three times per week). The charm of neighborhood is unquestionable, and for travelers visiting Paris, it's a fantastic home base!

average rating of 4.7826085 based on 46 reviews

Beautiful enchanting property in the best location possible.!!

  • 5 of 5

Charming, extremely well equipped--great kitchen and bathroom that had been recently remodeled--excellent value for the neighborhood. Enough light with 2 windows. Only one flight uplll We love Place Maubert and the subway Maubert-Mutalite and on the other side of the street, direct access to Notre Dame. It is a 5 minute walk to St Michel and we would absolutely stay there again. Communication was always very good and prompt attention to any concerns/issues.

The only drawback for us--it was a working holiday and there is almost no room except the dining room table, to put out your own things or computers, etc. All of the great shelves are filled with books and "objets d'art." There is no chest of drawers so it was hard to put things away and really feel at home. It would be ok for a few days but to settle in for 2 weeks as we did, I felt overwhelmed by things not my own--chairs chairs chairs, trays, etc.

Excellent apartment accomodation in centre of Paris

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in establishing walking distance of key sites in Paris as well as local market to get fresh produce. Apartment had all necessary kitchen needs. Apartment has a classic French feel and nice period furniture. We want to stay here the next time we come to Paris.

Paris Holiday Visit

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for an old building with beams, tile floors, just a block from the Seine and Notre Dame with antiques but modern conveniences, then this is the place for you. The photos you see on the internet are what you get starting with entering the building.

Our stay was comfortable and peaceful. We were there for 10 days over the holidays and the area was crawling with tourists, but very few ventured down our little street. Being on the (American ) second floor, you can hear street traffic and people talking due to the narrow street and tall buildings. But for us, this is what life is like in the most visited city in the world.

We have visited Paris several times staying in hotels. Acquiring an apartment is the best way to visit any city or town. We will return again to Paris and will be sure to rent this beautiful apartment again.

A cozy apartment in the best location

  • 5 of 5

I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Paris – close to everything, but on a small, quiet street! Rather than repeat all the praise given by other reviewers, with which we wholeheartedly agree, I’ll just say it made our trip absolutely perfect! We were able to book this apartment with very short notice, thanks to Ruben’s responsiveness. Also, many thanks to Madeleine for greeting us and making us feel welcome. We will definitely be back!

Amazing! Location, charm, and comfort!

  • 5 of 5

Our vacation in Paris was everything we hoped it would be, in large part because of this wonderful property and the great service by Ruben and his team. The property was just as described. It's location, charm, and comfort left nothing to be desired! We loved being in this location in the Latin Quarter, so close to everything we hoped to do and see in Paris. We loved being tucked a little away from the hustle-and-bustle, yet right around the corner from Notre Dame, the Seine River, and so much more!
