This charming house has private beach access in addition to a private fite pit area directly next to the beach. Wonderful ocean and beach views abound from the living room, kitchen and dining areas, in addition to two of the bedrooms.
Our newly remodeled kitchen comes equipped for 8 guests and features european styling, stainless steel appliances, side by side refrigerator with icemaker, integrated dishwasher, all surrounded by Pratt & Larson tile. You'll be thrilled with this well equipped kitchen. Both kitchen and dining areas have big views of the ocean, in addition to a large sliding door leading to a huge deck overlooking the grassy yard perfect for a quick game of volleyball or croquet and the beautiful, 7 mile Manzanita beach.
One step up from the kitchen is the semi-private livingroom - which means one can escape there to kick back and read a book or watch a show on the HD TV while overlooking tne unparelled view of the beach. Or light a fire in the big, wood burning fireplace, sit back and enjoy the full westward oceanview and the full southern view down the beach, all the way to Rockaway!
Across from the living room you'll find the master bedroom suite, complete with a generous pillowtop king bed, private deck view for your morning coffee, and private bathroom with european fixtures and large shower featuring Pratt & Larson tile and huge Hansgrohe Rainshower.
You'll find two more bedrooms at the north end of the house. The western bedroom also features a generous king bed with private sliding door to the deck overlooking the beach, and one of the best views on the coast! The third bedroom has two sets of bunk beds (suitable for teens and younger). Next to the bedrooms is a second bathroom with european fixtures, fanciful Pratt & Larson custom tile, and a warm shower to greet you after a day of searching through the tidepools.
The house comes with quality furnishings and bedding, in addition to high count 100% cotton linens, ensuring your comfort at our Charming Oceanfront House with Fabulous Views!
Our partnership started at our beloved beach house, as we were married in the lush yard, right next to the beach! Our dream was to keep the house in the family, so our children could also grow up experiencing vacations at this magical spot. Our kids are now teens, but still treasure trips to the beach. We're thrilled to share this experience with returning and new guests, and enjoy hearing how others also love returning for their annual vacation -- and sometimes several times a year!
My parents built our wonderful beach house in this beautiful location, at a time when there was many locations to choose from. The beautiful location, award winning views, and terrific community were, in their opinion, the best on the North Coast! My husband and I obviously agree with them, as we married in the lush back yard, adjacent to the beach, and took over the house and began renting in 1996 in order to share the wonderful beach experience. Happily, we have many returning guests who have become like family. We're sure you will also enjoy this rare beachfront home, and think of it as your own vacation house!
Spend your next relaxing vacation at one of the true oceanfront homes on the North Coast / Manzanita area! Many rentals advertise as oceanfront but have a road or other public access between their house and the beach. Your private paradise awaits!
Four of us have come two winters now and it is one of our favorite beach enclaves. The cottage has a rustic feel but in fact has modern appliances and appointments. A warm open-hearth fireplace, comfortable furniture and sweeping views make it hard to leave the living room. In fact, we canceled our dinner reservation in town not wanting to leave. Kim, the owner, is most accommodating and delightful to work with. We are already planning our next year's retreat.
Let me start by saying that for the last 6 years my friend and I have been coming to the Oregon coast we have stayed 5 of those times at one of the Homes on Manzanita Beach owned by Kim. I was so impressed from the large amount of great reviews on her homes that it I knew we couldn't go wrong by staying there and we were not disappointed! Due to my friend having cancer we stayed at the Beulah Reed Rd home. It is right on the ocean with very easy beach access, great fire pit, huge deck made for grabbing a blanket (which there are plenty of nice soft blankets at the home) and watching the ocean for hours. if you are one to cook at the house then there is a gas grill ready to go and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare a meal and dine at the table watching the waves. There is more then enough towels, lines and blankets provided and I love the pillows and beds! The house is set up so that you feel like you have your own space and your own bathroom. There is a cozy living area with a very large couch and several comfy chairs to sit and watch the waves or you can build a fire in the fireplace. The home sits at the end of a road and therefore it makes the beach rather secluded and private. She has stocked the home with a little library and also has DVD player and Wi-Fi. We have hiked on many of the trails in the area and walked into town for some shopping or dinner. Love the restaurant's in town or our all time favorite is the Rising Star in Wheeler- which is just down the road, Just make sure you make a reservation since it gets full quick! We were lucky enough to see the very large Historic Reed Rd home and WOW...the decorating and amenities are fantastic!! I am so looking forward to the newest home they are currently working on and I have no doubt that I will be VERY HAPPY with it also! If you have any questions feel free to send me a message--I will be very honest and happy to answer your questions! and no....I do not work for Kim..I am just the type of person who likes to tell others about good things to prevent a unhappy vacation! See we travel from Indiana and its important to make lasting great memories and that we have done!
Sometimes when you read reviews, or read a description of a property you get all excited but then are disappointed once you get there, or at least by the time you leave. However this was not the case!!!
The property was everything as described, the location was perfect, the ambience perfect, the house was clean, well stocked, heck we did not want to leave.
Its one of those situations where you are almost cautious to write a good review because in a selfish way you don't want it fully booked up that you never get another chance to visit, we'll have to take that risk, and plan to be back!!!
We had a lovely rainy Christmas weekend stay at the cottage. This is a surprisingly roomy spot - I am sure that it is even better when the great outdoors is more welcoming. The beach is literally in the backyard.
For a cold winter weekend, the house was cozy, well equipped and clearly recently updated. So the bathrooms and kitchens are new and gracious.
We had minor problems, but the owners were very responsive - they got people out (on Sunday!) and resolved them. We could not ask for more.
Lovely restaurant in Manzanita - Blackbird - is highly recommended.
We will be back.
Stellar experience throughout the entire booking process and 4 day stay at this wonderful Manzanita property! We received confirmation and detailed e-mail instructions prior to our arrival and all considerations were made to have everything stocked and ready for us. I was very impressed with how easy they made it feel like home. The property has a gorgeous deck, plenty of green grass and is approximately 25 ft from the sand. It is also located toward the most northern end of the beach, so it is in a less busy section. The fire pit and deck chairs provided are an exceptional added bonus during the fair weather months. The bed was very comfortable as was all the furniture. Exceptionally clean. This house has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, but is suitable for a single couple who wants ample space but could easily accommodate two couples and several children in the room with bunk beds. We simply closed off the other bedrooms and just enjoyed having a nice big kitchen and dining space all to ourselves. The sliding door to the back yard was great for letting the dog in and out. This pet-friendly property is a great find and Manzanita Beach and the town are extremely pet-friendly as well. Each day we walked 2-3 miles down the beach into the little town and back. It's one of the nicest beaches on the Oregon Coast, a little more laid back and less crowded than Cannon Beach, and this property is absolutely perfect and highly recommended!
