Guestbook comments from the manager

We are from San Diego and we visit Lake Arrowhead four to five times a year. That being said, we have rented a variety of vacation homes. This is by far our absolute favorite. It is just my husband and I and our two dogs and this is a perfect rental for the four of us. First, the house is entirely fenced off, and that is a huge thing for us because we didn't need to worry about our dogs. They loved the area, cobblestone walkway around the house, nice foliage around the area, would be great for little kids to play as well. The house is nestled among enormous pine trees and makes you feel like you are in the middle of the forest. The location is ideal. Just a super short drive to the Village and the best part, you can go out the back gate off the deck and it is a super short walk to the beach, you can see it from the back deck, lovely view! And the walking trail around the lake was fantastic with the dogs! The kitchen is open and very nicely remodeled, the entire lower level is very open with many windows, LOVED it! We only utilized the two upstairs bedrooms, the master has high ceilings and many windows as well. We have found our ideal vacation rental and will continue to rent this house every time we come up. THANK YOU!

Beautiful Home, Fantastic Location, Can't Wait to Visit Again...

  • 5 of 5

I regularly visit Lake Arrowhead, I love the feeling of being up the mountains removed from everyday life and each time I go I stay at different places because I haven't seemed to find that perfect spot...well, now I have! This particular trip was a for a ladies weekend getaway and we absolutely loved the home. All of the bedrooms and living area were so comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen was wonderful for cooking and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the card table during a fun game of dominoes one evening. The house was clean and well-kept, everything felt so well cared for and looked after. The patio/back deck has plenty of seating and a beautiful view of the lake, it is so relaxing, I think we spent most of our time out there. The walk to the lake from the home is a minute or two and is lined with beautiful trees, just lovely. Once you get to the lake you can go left and it is about a mile walk into town along the path or you can go right and walk along the lakefront up towards the damn and it is just so pretty everywhere you look! There is a volleyball court and some picnic tables along the lake right in front of the house. We also sat out on the dock and enjoyed being on the water - we even took the canoe for a spin or two in the inlet in front of the dock. Just a note, some of the bedrooms don’t allow for complete privacy which was fine for us. You have to walk through one of the bedrooms upstairs to get the master bedroom so, depending on your situation, that is something to think about…the same goes for the bedroom on the lower level – the rooms are open to one another. The only other comments I have are: 1)They have DVD players and stereo/speaker equipment but there were no instructions on how to use them – we were not a tech-savvy group so we didn’t use them, thankfully we brought our own portable speakers to plug into our phones for music and we didn’t watch much TV. 2) The jacuzzi house is nice and the jacuzzi itself looks to be in wonderful condition but the smell of mold/mildew is incredibly overwhelming – so much so that even after airing the room out for most of the day we still could not stand to be in there for more than a few minutes so we ended up not using the jacuzzi. This is the only thing we were disappointed about because we were really looking forward to relaxing in the spa. Other than the jacuzzi, everything was amazing and we will definitely be back!!!!!!

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful weekend! The house was very comfortable, terrifically clean, the kitchen was incredibly well stocked, the walk to the lake was very short, and town is just a mile away. The fence around the yard was great for our dogs. The BBQ is large and fairly new. It snowed during our visit (a surprise for May) so we didn't get a chance to enjoy the dock and canoes. We did, however, make use of the wood stove. We really loved this house and hope to return next year for a slightly longer stay.

The location was perfect and the property was quite sufficient of the size of our group.

  • 4 of 5

This was our first time using this service and not staying at a hotel. We were impressed with the amenities.

The location was perfect and our family had an wonderful time.

I would like to make one note, there are a couple bedrooms one downstairs and the master bedroom you must enter through another room to reach those rooms. Luckily for our group this wasn't an issue because one couple cancelled.

Overall, we had a fabulous time. The trail to the lake was very accessible.

April is a perfect time to visit the area.

Thank you to the owner and property Manger for help making the experience enjoyable.

Lovely cabin

  • 5 of 5

This was a beautiful, cozy cabin. It was perfect for our large group. There were actually 6 bedrooms, but kind of in a weird configuration. Upstairs there was a master bed/bath with an adjoining room that had a bed and couch. There was a second bedroom upstairs and a second bathroom. On the main level there was one bedroom and bathroom, along with the kitchen, living room, and foyer/game room. Down in the basement there was a mini bedroom with a single bed, and an adjoining bedroom with a double/queen bed. So it sleeps at least 11 but the bedrooms with adjoining walls weren't super private. But that was fine for a vacation home! The home is nestled among the trees and a short walk downhill to the lake. The walk isn't paved or handicap accessible but it certainly wasn't strenuous. Overhall, we loved the house. It was clean, comfortable, and had a well-stocked kitchen for cooking. Plenty of room to spread out. We took advantage of the hot tub and the canoes. The younger kids enjoyed playing in the stream feeding the lake. The adults liked the game table, 3 fireplaces, and cable TV. My only complaints were that the stairs inside were very steep (not great for kids but I think pretty typical for Arrowhead), and the hot tub building was pretty run down and had mold. We would definitely stay there again!

great house for family get away

  • 5 of 5

The house was just perfect for our family gathering to celebrate my 60th birthday. Clean, cozy and great location! Drove up in the snow and had a great 5 days. Only a 10-15 minute walk to the village out the back of the house. The upstairs thermostat gave us trouble and had to turn off and on to keep it working. The lower levels rooms are really very cold and no heat gets down there. There are space heaters but did not work that well in keeping the space warm and made us nervous with the kiddos down in the area. Really well stocked kitchen! The local contact came and shoveled all the walk ways so it would not be slippery once the sun came out. We will definitely be renting this house again!
