Thanks for the help.

We had an awesome stay at your cabin last weekend.

The kids did not want to leave!

The kids had a great time, as I took them out on the paddle boat several

times. We tried fishing from the dock. I got several strikes, but didn't

catch anything.

We went to Paws n' Claws and had a great time.

I slept in the loft the second night. With all the windows and ceiling

windows, it is the next best thing to sleeping outdoors (but without the

Thanks for the accommodations for a great weekend!

Peaceful and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

What an enjoyable weekend. Nice quiet location at the end of the lake. House was very clean, just as described and pictured. All the kitchen appliances have been updated. Beautiful view of the lake from the deck and inside the house as well. Not much is better than having a hot cup of morning coffee on the deck while watching the fog roll across the lake and enjoying the crisp, clean fall air and peaceful sounds of nature. Lovely firepit area between the house and the lake for the cool evenings. Nice gravel pathways with lights make it easy to head down to the dock at night to see the abundance of stars. Had a great afternoon walking the trails of the nearby Lacawac Sanctuary. The added surprise of having deer walk through the property every evening at dusk made our weekend even more enjoyable. We would definitely rent this house again in the future.

Repeat renter- many things in need of repair from last year

  • 3 of 5

We were repeat renters this year. While the house is in a great location and comes with nice amenities such as the paddle boats and kayaks, many things in the house that were in need of repair last year still weren't fixed.

Small things, such as a broken front screen and missing or broken blinds in the house, weren't fixed. The biggest problem was the smell of sewage when we first walked in. I emailed the owner whom immediately sent the cleaner over. She was very nice, but mentioned the house had a recent sewage pipe break in the basement.

This should have been mentioned before we rented so we could've at least known where the sewage smell was coming from. We won't rent again.

This property does not fit its description. Although it has beautiful views of the lake, the property is rundown and in need of mantainence. The deck needs to be power washed. The beautiful windows that face the lake are filthy and full of spider eggs. The skylight screens have moss growing on them. There is a campfire area, but the two picnic tables are falling apart and have moss growing on them as well. Light fixtures are missing light bulbs. The deck screendoor has a ripped screen. The basement smells damp and there are water stains on the ceiling. The washing machine area has a broken light and is extremely dark. And the land between the house and lake is overgrown with weeds. The owner boasts that he expects to maintain a well-run property, but nothing proves this. I will say the inside was very clean, but this would be credited to the cleaning service that is hired. My family has rented vacation homes for years and this is the first time we have rented a rundown property. Lake is quiet and beautiful.

comfortable with gorgeous views!

  • 4 of 5

My daughters and grandchildren loved our stay. The house was totally equipped, I would definitely recommend it to anyone. My only suggestion would be to maybe bring some extra toilet paper and paper towels...but other than that it was a great location and only 5 min from Lake Wallenpaupack. The outdoor pool by beaver lake was great as we had a 4 yr old and 8 months old. We made use of the paddle boat and kayaks daily. Slightly disappointed that we couldn't walk into the lake to swim. But it is just a quick ride or walk to the beach area.
