Steamboat Springs Townhome Rental Photos and Description

Townhome, 3 Bedrooms + Loft + Family Room + Bunk Room, 3 Baths (Sleeps 10-12)

A dream vacation home in Steamboat Springs, Co. less than a mile down to the base of the mountain. Our three bedroom, three bath townhouse also has a bunk room/den and a loft and easily sleeps ten in beds. Three TVs with cable and DVD. Our mountain vacation home includes a fully equipped kitchen and full size washer/dryer. It is ideal for large families or multiple couples. Everyone can enjoy privacy with each bedroom and bath on its own level.

Our townhouse has been completely remodeled and recently redecorated. It has hardwood floors, new carpet, granite kitchen counters, and new appliances. The decor is warm and comfortable with leather furniture and luxury linens. It is a great place to call home while on vacation. You can eat in on the front or back porch over looking the pool while you BBQ on the gas grill.

Parking / Bus / Steamboat: We have plenty of parking, but public transportation is also available to take you to the ski village or downtown and always brings you back to our door. If you want to eat out, the bus stop is just across the street and arrives every 15 minutes. Then, you are just a couple of minutes from Gondola Square. Steamboat has incredible eating, shopping and a movie theater, strings concert hall or professional rodeo. The botanic garden is a must see.

Locker: In the winter, enjoy access to our heated locker at the base of Gondola Square and a 30% discount on all ski equipment. I have carried skis for 3 kids and believe me this is a luxury for a Dad. Just leave your boots, skis, poles, and helmets in the locker at the end of each day. You'll be able to wear your comfortable shoes to and from the mountain, and best of all no skis to carry home! The locker is in the lower level of the Christie Sport Stalker shop and rental, just across from the lift ticket office. If you need additional storage, Christie's will store rented skis for free or we also have a secured ski locker on the back patio of the townhouse.

Summary: We treated our family to Christmas Holiday in Steamboat Springs in 2000 & 2002. Those memories will last forever and are the reason we finally bought our own place in Steamboat. Our townhouse is so warm and relaxed we now vacation in Steamboat as often as possible. When we aren't using it, we are so happy to be able to share it with you and your family. Steamboat Springs is a great vacation location for all seasons and we are now hosting destination weddings. Just minutes to hiking fishing, biking, horseback riding, hot springs, botanic garden and many shops and restaurants.

About Don and Montie Rouze

Welcome to our home. We are Don & Montie Rouze. We love Steamboat Springs and use our mountain home as much as we can. When we aren't using it, we are happy to share it. We love getting to know our guests and enjoy helping with their vacation plans. We want our guests to think of our mountain home as their's while using it. We have three grown children, a two grandchildren.

Don and Montie Rouze purchased this townhome in 2011

Why Don and Montie Rouze chose Northwest Colorado

A perfect family Christmas at Steamboat in 2000 made us pledge that some day we would own a property in Steamboat Springs. A family oriented town and ski area provides activities for all ages. Once you get to know Steamboat in the non ski season you'll love it even more. It's the extras we provide. Read our reviews.

What makes this townhome unique

My sister and brother-in-law own another unit in our townhome complex. We host many large family gatherings and having 2 units close together keeps you family and friends close, but not too close. These two units combined can sleep up to 20 people. Families can gather for meals, but also go their own separate ways for activities.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Had a great time in Steamboat on the mountain, at the hot springs, hiking and doing some nordic skiing. Enjoyed the condo - especially the kitchen. The lazy susan was great for card games! Had a fun spring break. Thanks.

We rented this unit as a home-base for our daughter's wedding in Steamboat. The layout was ideal for our group - we all had our own space, yet never felt too spread out. Loved the western decor. There was not a detailed missed, as far as catering to guests. There was even a sewing kit that came in quite handy the morning of the wedding. Everything was clean & in excellent condition - it truly felt like we were guests in a home vs. just renters. The owners were always available for questions and gave us some wonderful recommendations for restaurants & things to do in Steamboat. We loved the little touches, like the bag of fresh coffee waiting for us on the counter. Location was perfect - right on the shuttle line, but also within walking distance to ski area (or a quick drive for those of us not acclimated to mountain air). There's a nice patio in back, too. We definitely want to return to Steamboat & plan on staying at this VRBO in the future.

Owner's Response: This is our second home and not just a rental property. This guest incapsulates why we do rent our home when we aren't using it. Being part of a families important wedding or vacation and life long memories is rewarding for us too. We are happy to help guide our guest to the right restaurants or catering. We do provide our guest with a locally roasted high altitude coffee that will help remind you that you are on vacation and don't have to go to work this morning. Everyone loves the coffee provided by Steamboat Coffee & Tea Company.

Wonderful stay in Steamboat.

  • 5 of 5

Our family, consitig of 6 adults and two young children had a relaxing and enjoyable week here. This mountain home is spacious, clean, comfortable and very nicely decorated in a Western theme. It had all the amenities we needed including a well stocked kitchen, three full bathrooms and a laundry room. The bedding and beds were great. The heated pool was very clean and right out the back door. We often had it to ourselves. We came in the summer and there are multitude of things to do in Steamboat. We rode the gondola up the mountain, tubed on the Yampa river, hiked on moutain trails, saw Fish Creek falls and enjoyed an excellent free concert at the botannical gardens. We could have used another week and still had more to experience in this beautiful area that is thriving with the arts and outdoor activities! Don and Montie were wonderful hosts and always a phone call or text away if we needed something. I would higly recommend a stay here!

What a beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

This is a gorgeous home and it was the perfect size and layout for our recent family reunion! We had two couples and one family staying and we each, essentially, had our own floor. The common areas (living room, loft and kitchen) were beautifully appointed. There's no need to bring any dishes or cooking utensils with you as the owners have provided everything and then some. Same goes for movies and games... no need to bring any with you as the owners have a great selection. My one word of advice regarding the property is that you need to remember to turn on the fan/evaporative cooler in the top bedroom right when you get there if you're staying in the summer. The top bedroom took a while to cool off.

Owner's Response: We love our home in Steamboat Springs and enjoy continuing to think of items a family might need or want while on vacation. Some of the items were even donated by guests, such as the blender for margarita Mondays. We love finding various games, puzzles and family movies and leaving them for our guests. We even have a snowman kit. Since the house does not have central AC, we provide fans and an evaporative cooler for the upstairs. The key is to open the house up the minute you arrive, both windows and doors. On a hot day, I will start the evap-cooler and ceiling fan around 30 minutes before bed time and then set the timer for 2 hours. The lows are still in the 50s even in the summer. The other bedrooms are usually not a problem and we still provide 3 additional fans if you need them. On occasion, even Steamboat Springs has warm days. We appreciate the feedback.

Wonderful home away from home

  • 5 of 5

You will want to stay in this condo. It has all the conveniences of home and more! The owners have thought of everything! Big enough for family time and small enough for privacy. It is all you need in one spot!

Owner's Response: We appreciate this response, because this is what we love about our Steamboat home. It is difficult to describe, but the layout allows for an individual, couple or kids to get away from the larger group. Vacations can be stressful and we love gathering in the kitchen and family room, but it is nice to escape to the loft, game table, back or front porches. Walks around the neighborhood offer beautiful views. Each bedroom is on a separate level and distanced from the kitchen & family room. Kids love to escape to the bunk room and game table.

Nice place, great location

  • 5 of 5

The condo is very nice and had everything we needed. It's very close to the resort, which makes it easy to catch the first lift... if you can manage to get the rest of your group out of bed on time.

Owner's Response: Our location offers several great options. With the bus stop just across the street and just 2 stops down to the base, late sleepers can easily get to the mountain on their own and catch up later. Having a locker at the base prevents you from having to carry your equipment. We often walk home from the slopes. There is a convenient path through the condos for walking off those apres ski beverages. That's what I've heard.....

Perfect for 2 families with kids or 4 couples.

  • 4 of 5

This was a lovely multilevel condo with nice decor and conveniently located. We loved the shuttle stop across the street and the use of the ski locker. My only complaint was the bunk room is tight and when you pulled out the trundle bed there is no way to enter the rest of the basement. Which was fine when I rearranged the kids. But bad if your planning on 3 kids sleeping in this area. I'm glad my in laws could not join us at the last minute because it would have been too tight for 3 families. To be fair Don told me this exact information when we rented the condo. We would stay here again.

Owner's Response: What can I say, a trundle bed is never convenient when you pull them out and leave them out. The bunk room is designed for kids and the kids all want to sleep there. When attempting to sleep 10-12 people, the trundle, the foldout Chair/twin in the loft or the 2 futons will have to be put up during the day, else someone might have to be stepping over them.
