Red Head Retreat is a newly renovated century home with a central staircase that divides the open plan living room, dining room and kitchen. The house has been beautifully restored with honey-coloured hardwood floors; wood trim and neutral paint colours. There is nothing to distract you from that marvelous view!
Simply furnished and decorated, this house has everything you need in a vacation cottage. The kitchen is fully equipped with an under counter fridge, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and kettle. The house is fully wired for internet. There is a flat screen TV in the living room. Board games and cards are available for family time around the dining room table.
Upstairs are 3 bedrooms all with ocean views. The master bedroom has a king size bed while the two other bedrooms have twin beds. There is a 4 piece bathroom and a stacking washer and dryer on the ground floor.
A large deck runs along the back of the house and from there you can enjoy a fabulous unobstructed view of the Atlantic Ocean. It is the perfect spot to while away an afternoon watching birds flying overhead and boats passing by. It's hard not to relax in the company of such delightful natural scenery: blue skies, shimmering sea and fresh ocean breezes.

Red Head Retreat is located in the quiet community of Atlantic, approximately 25 km to Shelburne with its restaurants, museums, grocery stores and other amenities. Red Head Beach is a half a kilometer walk from the property and can be accessed either along the shore or by road. Roseway Beach and Carleton Village Beach are both approximately 10km away. It is about an hour to Yarmouth. The UNESCO heritage town of Lunenburg is about an hour and a half while Halifax is an easy 2-hour drive. The airport is approximately 2.5 hoursâ?? drive.Red Head Retreat has a Saturday to Saturday rental period.

To secure your vacation rental, a deposit of $500.00 CDN per week and the damage deposit waiver fee are due upon booking. Your booking is not confirmed until this deposit has been received. The balance of the rental fee is due 90 days prior to your arrival. Payment can be made either by Email Transfer, Visa, MasterCard or personal cheque in Canadian Dollars.Set back about 100 meters from the shore line, the garden is safe for little ones and pets to play. The lawn ends at a 20 foot high bluff that is too steep to scramble down. But it is easy to get to the beach by following the garden as it naturally slopes down to the shore line. Once on the shore it is possible to walk for miles in either direction. A westerly heading will take you around a headland and onto the beautiful deserted white sands of Red Head Beach.Damage Deposit Waiver Fee:
We require a $45 non-refundable Damage Deposit Waiver Fee for all reservations in lieu of charging an additional $500 security deposit to the property rental rate. This privilege is offered to you as our way of saying thank you for your business. The waiver covers all minor accidental damage or breakage up to $500. Coverage does not cover extraordinary cleaning charges, damage resulting from negligence or willful or wanton conduct or damage by a pet (in those properties that allow pets). Guests must notify the Sandy Lane Enterprises Ltd. at once of any damage during occupancy and submit a written report or the Damage Waiver is void. For reservations of which the rental amount is over $2500 weekly, an additional refundable security deposit may be required.
