Start the day with a round of golf, walk down to Lake Tahoe for a swim, hike Tahoe National Forrest, drive up to Northstar or over to Diamond Peak. The casinos are a 5 minute drive away also. You can access nearly everything Tahoe has to offer from this house. It's walking distance from the huge North Shore Safeway (with Starbucks inside), award winning restaurants like Lanza's, Jason's, Hiro Sushi and the Log Cabin. Walk to the Brockway movie theater, miniature golf or sit out on the deck and enjoy the redwoods.
Kings Beach was named after card shark Joe King, who won the town site from George Whittell nearly a century before poker had a cult cable-TV following. Set against a vibrant blend of colors, flavors and textures, Kings Beach is kick back. In fact, this stretch of North Lake Tahoe wrote the book on mellow kick back.
It is rightfully known as the north shore's banana belt, as it stands in
the sun’s path from early morning into the p.m. As if basking under the sun's glow were not enough, this mountain/beach town throws a sandy welcome to all with a signature downtown public beach.
Hip shops, restaurants, side-street vendors – all true to their cultural
heritage – and down-home Lake Tahoe lodging plus a host of human characters give the town an indescribable savoir cool. Hwy. 267 spills into Hwy. 28 here, too, presenting skiers/boarders insta-options to the North Shore’s Big 12 Lake Tahoe ski resorts.

Hi, I'm Candy! I manage the rental of our house for my daughter - the owner. I can help you with any questions you may have and I can make suggestions to make your vacation easier and more comfortable. For example: I can tell you about the 'special treatment' you will get from the kayak rental folks when you mention that you know Sodapop. They know Sodapop, my daughter's Jack Russell Terrier, and look forward to seeing her during the summer. I hope to talk to you soon. Thanks and have fun.
The Owner purchased this house in 2011
We chose this house because of the location. It is simply walking distance to EVERYTHING. In addition, the house has been completely re-done so everything works.
Stayed here for Christmas Eve and Christmas night with our two adult children. The home was as good as it gets, as each kid got their own room and the common areas were perfect for four adults. The pictures on VRBO are accurate, but they don't capture how homey the home feels. The kitchen is very well equipped and also a very social place. The shower is large and hot. The hot tub provided great relaxation after each of two days of skiing. We wish we could have stayed longer. communication with the owner was fast, clear, accurate and informative. if you want to feel at home and have everything you need for a great vacation, stay here! We hope to next time we are in the area.
The house worked very well for our family with three young kids. Nice big dining area and kitchen allowed for good meals, and the back yard was a hit with the kids. Good location. House was clean and well-maintained, and the owner was very responsive.
We really enjoyed staying at this house! We have stayed in Tahoe several times and knew the location of this house was right where we wanted to be. It is tucked away well enough to be "woodsy" but close to Safeway and restaurants to eat at. The house was clean when we arrived and the bedding was comfortable as well.
We enjoyed staying in this lovely house immensely. Perfectly located. Very comfortable.
This house is a charming and perfect place to stay for a family or group of friends. Its is situated about 10 miles from Northstar and less than a 10 minute walk to Safeway and Kings Beach.
I stayed with a group of friends and the beds were all super comfortable. The couch is comfortable to sleep on too. The back deck is amazing and really made us feel like we were pampered. Hot tub, hammock and fire pit (we made s'mores!) The neighbors were friendly and nights were quiet. The large table in the dining room table was perfect for a big group to dine.
Thank you Candy for providing such a lovely space to gather. We loved the house!
We had a lovely short weekend getaway at this adorably decorated cabin! The amenities on the deck were awesome - We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and hammock. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was nicely stocked with all the utensils and equipment we needed. We were hoping to go kayaking with our group of 4, however, there was only one tandem kayak available. Instead, we had a fun little bike/razor ride to the beach to enjoy the beautiful view. The owner was incredibly accommodating with our schedule, allowing us to maximize our enjoyment of her lovely cabin. It was a great weekend and I'd love to go back.
