Fall or Summer Seclusion and relaxation.

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,200 sq. ft.
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

Lodge, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)

Drive down a wooded drive to a secluded, pine-shrouded cabin on a low bluff. The amazing view immediately catches your attention as you look across Partridge Lake. Its a Holiday, however, there are only two boats out... one is fishing for Bass and another is pulling a water skier.

You walk through the cabin door into a knotty-pine, 4-season porch with a large, log dining table perfect for family meals or playing board games. Keep going into the main room with a 22' high vault and glass on the entire lakeside. The view is perfect as you settle onto the couch or recliner (my favorite). The open layout is perfect for cooking while you enjoy family and friends.

You walk down the stairs to the lake where you see a 20' pontoon (for your use) and a nice-sized deck at the shoreline.

Before you depart on your first pontoon ride, you set the Sauna timer to start warming, so that when you return it all set for you and several others.

When it's time for bed and you can have total privacy in one of the back bedrooms... or climb the stairs to sleep in one of the two queens beds in the loft.

Wake up early to see the sun rise across the bay or sleep in as late as you like... it is very quiet on this 2 acre Getaway.

Fair warning... you may not want to leave!

About Jason Ohmann

I'm in the Software industry and live with my family in Maple Grove, Minnesota... only 90 minutes South of the cabin. This has been my getaway and savior for 20 years... and now I would like to share it with you.

Jason Ohmann purchased this cabin in 1996

Why Jason Ohmann chose Deerwood

Only 90 minutes from the Cites... I immediately fell in love with the property, purchased the lot in 1995 and built on it in early 1996.

What makes this cabin unique

You can spend quality-time doing exactly what you want with no outside interruptions or competition for the Lake. It's like having your own private Lake.

If you truly want a getaway

  • 5 of 5

This rental is the perfect blend of a lovely cabin, rustic setting and an unbelievably uncrowded, clear, serene lake. We had a fantastic time and appreciated having all the needed kitchen/cooking items, as well as comforts like CDs and movies for the rare downtime inside. It was hard to pull ourselves away from the scenic view, lawn games, pontoon, and the fire pit with wood ready to burn. Jason was helpful and responsive - you won't be disappointed!

Relaxing week

  • 4 of 5

Great place for a quiet, relaxing week. The home is nicely furnished and well kept. The pontoon is an added bonus. The lake is beautiful and clear but not a big lake to cruise on. The seclusion and the view of the lake is wonderful. We loved seeing the bald eagle, deer and loons. Brainerd is only 25 minutes away as well as Crosby, and Aitkin. Don't forget to stop in at Lonesome Pine Restaurant. We had a great week!

Nice quite and relaxing cabin. It was nice unplugging from the world for a week. Thank You

This was just what we were looking for. The cabin was so private and relaxing. We enjoyed boating on the lake and fishing for pike. One evening a bald eagle landed right in the back yard tree for us to watch. How exciting to see one so close. Another thing that impressed us was how polite all the people were on partridge lake. This lake is truely a hidden gem.

Thanks so much Jason for the great week we experienced. David & Melody Gray

It was a perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is tucked away in the woods - very quiet and serene. But still close enough to visit friend on nearby lakes or get groceries. Inside plenty of room for family and friends to gather for meals and conversation with a true "north wood's" feel. The deck is large and a perfect place to barbeque and relax looking out at the lake. Our family loved the pontoon - went out often for a ride around the lake or fishing. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed - including a washer and dryer - very convenient. I did have some questions before we arrived - and even one when we were there - and Jason was very prompt in returning my emails. We definitely hope to stay there again!!

Great Relaxing experience

  • 5 of 5

Went to the Getaway with a bunch of friends to get away from the "City life" and this was exactly what we'd hoped for. Spent almost every day in the sun having a few drinks and Barbecuing. The lake was always calm and serene at any time of the day - Took some amazing pictures of sunsets and wildlife. When we first arrived Jason gave us an excellent tour of everything we would need for the week to come and I don't think he left one thing out as we were prepared in any situation.

Thanks for such a wonderful week and sharing your cabin with us!
