This property is in an ideal location, only a 2-hour drive from Boston, MA. Quechee is a 4-season resort with golf, tennis, hiking and swimming during the spring/summer/fall and skiing/snowshoeing/sledding during the winter. To us, our experiences in our home and in Quechee represent what New England is all about. We absolutely love this place!
The house has the country feel with all of the modern amenities to make your stay extra comfortable and relaxing. We love preparing meals in the kitchen while our guests lounge in the living room or around our dining room table. We enjoy the variety of choices we have in the area - we can either relax at home or do something active outside. Visiting the local establishments is also a favorite activity - dining at Simon Pearce and Worthy Kitchen, walking around Woodstock village, and shopping at Woodstock Farmers Market.
From the moment I first saw the house I knew it was a wonderful place. The home is situated in a gorgeous community. After opening the front door I felt like I was at a place I could call home. It was cozy and had the kind of charm you would want to experience in a rental home. The kitchen was large and spacious. I cooked all our meals and found the kitchen had all the essential pots pans and cooking accessories that a cook would want. Moving into the living room sits a large TV and two comfortable couches that may have been used for an afternoon nap or two. Also in the living room is a large fireplace that we used each night which was very tranquil to look at not to mention the warmth it provided.
One of my favorite aspects of the home was the large windows and glass sliding doors that created a panoramic view of the property. It was absolutely gorgeous to see the colors of the foliage especially from the views inside the home while we weren't out exploring. What was outside of those sliders?, how about a deck that wraps around the house. Out on the deck was a grill that we used during our stay.
Finally, we had brought a dog with us which the owners were more than happy to accommodate. I found that we did not want for anything during our stay. The area has a lot to offer as we were able to keep our days filled with activities. The trip truly was the Vermont experience we were looking for.
A great place to stay! Fits two families perfectly. Good shared spaces and bedrooms. Right around the corner from all the quechee amenities. We love it here!
This was a great place for our family of 8 adults to participate in a long weekend birthday celebration. The house was immaculate and fully stocked with everything we needed. The expanse of sliders and windows throughout framed the foliage surrounding the house. It felt as if one was in a treehouse! The location was a short distance from I 91 and the street was lovely, abutting the Quichee Club golf course. We had a few questions when we arrived and Tamara immediately answered our call and quickly sorted out our issue. The week prior to our stay she texted us additional useful information and recommendations of restaurants and activities which were very helpful. Nearby Woodstock was a great place to explore as was the trail along Quichee Gorge. We were also pleased that we were allowed to take our dog with us for an additional refundable fee. Everyone left on their way home to Boston, New York and CT rested and happy after a super time spent in beautiful Vermont!
Stayed 3 nights for a family reunion. A couple of us also took a class at King Arthur flour and it was a convenient spot to stay.
Tamara was accommodating, and her home was immaculate and so warm. It's close enough to Woodstock and in Quechee. We loved it, were there for over s month while our own home was being renovated.
We had a wonderful stay at this house. Tamara was a wonderful host and very responsive. We had a few questions when we first arrived and she responded immediately to texts and calls. The house has four bedrooms and would be a great for one large family or two family's of four. Kitchen is very well stocked (would have been nice to have a pantry or space to put our things but managed to put our belongings on the counters). Bathrooms have recently been updated. The heat worked very well and we enjoyed fires in the evening. 5 minutes to Quechee ski hill. Really a great house that we would rent again and have recommended to our friends.
I spent a couple days at New Years here and had just a wonderful time. The house is beautiful, spacious, clean, well maintained, and comfortable. It was perfect for a larger group - there is great communal space, a wonderful fire place, and enough room for people to spread out without feeling crowded. 9 people slept comfortably. The kitchen is well stocked for most cooking projects, even those on the ambitious side. Tamara was excellent - so responsive, gave great tips about the area, and was really quick to answer questions. And although we spent most of the time just lounging in the house, the area right near by is quite fun - Simon Pierce is just down the road, a group of us went to the King Arthur Flour Mill and to the Quechee Gorge. Although this winter the snow has been less than excellent the place is really convenient to Killington and Pico Mountains. We are looking forward to coming back!
