This place has great potential but it was so dirty. The stove was greasy, the griddle had not been cleaned.Even baking utensils in the drawer dirty. Everything dusty, cob webs hanging from the ceiling, ceiling fan sprayed us with dust. Rugs were gross, turned our socks black. Furniture and bedding old and tired. The shower faucets don't work properly. The windows were so dirty you couldn't enjoy the beautiful view. Only a few windows had screens or worked well enough to open. Decks outside had not been cleaned and no good broom for us to even sweep. Deck furniture again old dirty and not enough for a house that sleeps 20.
I could go on but you get the picture. I paid way to much money for a luxury rental that clearly lacked luxury.
Unfortunately, my experience with this home is different than the other reviews. The wall-to-wall carpeting was heavily stained and needs re-stretching. The throw rugs in the bathrooms and kitchen were in desperate need of laundering (or, in my opinion, don't even use them in these areas). I found it somewhat difficult to be efficient in the kitchen, as it had no working blender, no beaters for the hand mixer, and the baking pans were rusted. The kitchen faucet needs replacement or attention, as it never worked properly from the start of our visit, and on Christmas morning my husband had to play plumber, as there was water pouring out from under the kitchen sink as I attempted to make breakfast. The upholstered dining chairs are terribly stained. The setting and layout of the home are terrific. It needs a thorough cleaning and care. This was certainly not something I expected to be a problem.
Plenty of room for most any sized group or family. Kitchen fully stocked with most anything you can think of, plus high-quality appliances, makes cooking-in very easy. All beds were comfortable and central heating / air worked great. A wonderful experience!
We had a group of 10 adults and 12 kids and house was perfect. It had everything we needed. Would recommend and come back again.
The VRBO listing information and is accurate to the house. The house is nice, and well maintained with a large garage. The kitchen is fully stocked- the only items we could have used was a garlic press and a zester.
I thought from the description that the loft area would be larger. The rooms and bathrooms were are nice. My main issue was the hot tub. It is older and not well maintained. The cover holder was broken. Maintenance did come quickly and put in chemicals and said they would get the cover fixed. I was not satisfied with the chemical maintenance cycle for the hot tub. Only 1/2 the jets were working as well.
The location is great- easy walk to the park, and the owner has a lot of balls and things to take to the park. You can walk the paths easily up to the winery. Very friendly staff all around.
Lot of room- we brought 18 people. Video games and TV's aplenty.
