About Mark Savoy

As a child I grew up in the Niagara Region and lived here through graduation from university in 1985. I spent 23 years in California. Now back home we are pursuing one of our passions of owning and operating vacation rentals in the Niagara Falls area. I know the area well and can provide all forms of information on local restaurants, tourism, places and things to go and see. I'm a huge Sabres and Bills fan and hockey fan and a citizen of both US and Canada. I have spent a lot of time across the border in Canada and I know Canada as well as the US side and can provide any tourism info you may need for visiting. Canada is less than a 10 minute walk from our doors to the border crossing.

Family Gathering June 2016

  • 5 of 5

VRBO 367440 - 740 Park Place, Niagara Falls, NY. Once a year our family gathers to spend time together. This year we chose this property near Niagara Falls. We had 10 people (3 families, ages 10-76). The house was excellent. We had plenty of room and the large dining room was a great place for all of us to share dinner and stories with each other. We particularly enjoyed the front porch for morning coffee, evening drinks and discussions. The kitchen, while small, was well equipped for all types of cooking. The bar-b-que gill in the back yard was utilized for several meals. The house, while old, was well maintained, clean and we loved it. The owner was courteous and helpful. Our families enjoyed all the activities at the Falls and surrounding areas. Most of all we enjoyed a property which lent itself o family gathering and sharing. We would certainly recommend this site.

Note 1: While the property is advertised as a 10 minute walk from the Falls – that is fine for a young healthy person but others will need transportation.

Note 2 We are not new to home rentals. : We have rented homes across the USA (Seattle, Yellowstone, Orlando, Niantic, CT, Washington DC) and this property compared will with all of those locations.

family christmas

  • 4 of 5

My family were together at this home for a family type reunion to celebrate the holidays as well as our mom's 89th bday. There were 17 of us and the house was more then comfortable from the very young to the oldest, who was 93 years old.

We found the owner, Mark very helpful and pleasant to work out our arrangements. The home while an older home was found to be very clean, warm and inviting. We spent a great deal of time around the christmas tree that was up and decorated when we arrived, or sitting at the large dining room table playing board games, or working on christmas crafts. Being centraly located it was easy to get to shopping, resturants, or entertainment at the Seneca Casino. We hope to be able to get together as a family again within the next year, and will certainly be in contact with this owner for future plans. And again, Thanks for everything Mark!

Marathon weekend

  • 5 of 5

Great historical house! If you like and appreciate historical homes this one is nice. It was perfect for our group of 15. We were there for The Niagara Falls International Marathon. This house is located 20 mins from the finish line. Plenty of space for all of us to get away from each other or all be together. It was nice having TV's in every room. The kids loved that. The 5 kids in our group all said the best part of the trip was the house! The location is a short walk to the US falls, restaurants and attractions. A plus for our family and friends not doing the marathon. The house was clean and stocked with most things you'll need. Mark, the owner of the house was easy to get in touch with and very nice.

Perfect for a family reunion

  • 5 of 5

My family was looking for a place to celebrate my brothers 60th birthday. This was a perfect choice. Room enough for most of the family. We enjoyed the large dining room that allowed us all to enjoy dinner and then talk about the good old days. The elevator available was perfect for our father who struggles with stairs now that he is in his 80s. And the location was close enough for our nephews and nieces to make their daily walks and runs to the falls. The house is a beautiful hom from the very early 20th century.

The perfect house for our vacation to Niagra Falls!

  • 5 of 5

We rented the entire place over labor day weekend for my 40th birthday and all 11 of us had an amazing stay! The house is located in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area, but yet walking distance from the rainbow bridge, observation tower, American side falls, and the island in between the falls. Having the ability to cook meals and a large table for all of us to eat at made the experience incredible for spending time and saved a lot of money from having to eat out in town. The cost of renting this house was nearly half the price of renting individual hotel rooms and we all got to stay together and had the entire house to ourselves. Our favorite part of the house was the huge covered patio out front. Waking up and drinking coffee out there was so peaceful in the mornings with all the other beautiful houses, mature trees and squirrels. It was also nice to come home at night and enjoy a few cocktails together out on this porch as well. The owner Mark was extremely helpful and provided us with everything we needed. I am so thankful we found this place and were able to stay here. It worked out perfect. Highly recommend staying here. No issues whatsoever and i got my security deposit returned within two days.

A+ Property close to all attractions

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of 10 stay at this property to visit Niagara Falls and the surrounding area. It was absolutely perfect for our trip. The home had plenty of space and really beat the cost of trying to get hotel rooms to accommodate all of us. A huge plus is that we were able to spend time together in the common rooms and cook our own meals, which we would have missed out on in a hotel. The home is a 10-20 minute walk to everything you want to see and experience at the Falls, including Canada. It was also only about a 30 minute drive to Niagara On The Lake and about a 10 minute drive to the Gorge Trails. This home has a lot of character and history which only added to our experience!
