About Mark Savoy

As a child I grew up in the Niagara Region and lived here through graduation from university in 1985. I spent 23 years in California. Now back home we are pursuing one of our passions of owning and operating vacation rentals in the Niagara Falls area. I know the area well and can provide all forms of information on local restaurants, tourism, places and things to go and see. I'm a huge Sabres and Bills fan and hockey fan and a citizen of both US and Canada. I have spent a lot of time across the border in Canada and I know Canada as well as the US side and can provide any tourism info you may need for visiting. Canada is less than a 10 minute walk from our doors to the border crossing.

Perfect Niagara Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Every year my siblings get together for a reunion. This year we rented this property in Niagara Falls. There were 6 couples on this trip. The house was perfect with its 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. The large dining room was roomy and easily accommodated all of us for meals. The house was very clean and charming. When we weren't enjoying the Falls ( which are within walking distance) we enjoyed the large covered porch. The bedrooms were very nice and had nice comfortable beds. The house has a well stocked kitchen in case you wish to prepare meals. All we brought was our food. There are plenty of restaurants nearby if you don't want to cook. The house was everything the owner advertised it to be. My family traveled in from Oklahoma, Georgia, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Everyone throughly enjoyed our time together and we all agreed we would definitely rent this property again. The home is on the National Registry of Historic Homes and exudes charm in every room. One thing that was especially nice was the abundance of hot water in the mornings when showers were being taken. Even with our large group we never ran out of hot water. The owner Mark was very easy to work with and we happily give this property a 5 star rating!

Owner's Response: Tim Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure having you and your family in the house. We would welcome you back anytime. We maintain two large water heaters in the house in order to ensure hot water for all our guests to support a house that can accommodate 16. Also a two zone heating system to keep the house warm in the cooler months.

A Wonderful Gathering Place

  • 5 of 5

A group I studied abroad with got together with our families for the weekend. The house provided ample space for adults to sit and talk and children to explore or just chill out and watch a movie. We had a great time!

Perfect for a Big Family

  • 5 of 5

We were 8 siblings; of which 7 were with spouse. We drove all the way from Queens, New York and arrived late afternoon. Most of us had just arrived from the Philippines. Owner was nice and was there waiting for us. The house was perfect for us all especially since it had enough bathrooms. Bedrooms were cozy and airconditioned. Every room in the house was clean. The dining room could fit all 15 of us! Place was in a quiet neighborhood. Parking at the back of the house was just right for our 3 vehicles. Kitchen had everything we needed; utensils, glassware, pots and pans. Bathroom towels supplied were adequate, clean and soft, and were of good quality. Hand soap though was a small piece and no shampoo as would have been in a hotel. High quality soft toilet papers were a plenty. Some lights in the dining and living room were either not working or had busted bulbs. Hand rail on the right side wall of the staircase to the 3rd floor though didnt seem attached well and strong enough so I cautioned everyone not to use it. Nevertheless, we liked the house and were really very happy and satisfied that we were able to find a nice place that could fit us all in comfortably. The house is now a part of our memories of our wonderful times together and surely it would be great if we could do it all over again in the same place! We also would like to commend Mark, who promptly returned our cash bond for the house in just a matter of days! And in behalf of the family, thank you very much Mark! We had a very pleasant stay!

The perfect Place for our vacation & Close to Niagara Falls Attractions!

  • 5 of 5

Since our friend moved out of Columbus, Ohio, we have been talking to have a gathering and decided to have a vacation in Niagara Falls. We are 13 people (including friends and their families) looked for a place to spend our weekend and found this house with 7 bedrooms, 6 Full baths and all required facilities. We had a great time chatting at living room, meal at big dining hall, feel home kitchen with almost everything in house and relaxed in the swing in front patio. Toiletries were more than enough. TVs in all bedrooms. We were able to park all of our 4 cars narrowly in the private parking behind the house. This house is good for bigger group and close to all Niagara Falls attractions - 5 mins drive to Maid of the Mist, Parking Lot 2. The owner of the house was very friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend this house!

Family Gathering June 2016

  • 5 of 5

VRBO 367440 - 740 Park Place, Niagara Falls, NY. Once a year our family gathers to spend time together. This year we chose this property near Niagara Falls. We had 10 people (3 families, ages 10-76). The house was excellent. We had plenty of room and the large dining room was a great place for all of us to share dinner and stories with each other. We particularly enjoyed the front porch for morning coffee, evening drinks and discussions. The kitchen, while small, was well equipped for all types of cooking. The bar-b-que gill in the back yard was utilized for several meals. The house, while old, was well maintained, clean and we loved it. The owner was courteous and helpful. Our families enjoyed all the activities at the Falls and surrounding areas. Most of all we enjoyed a property which lent itself o family gathering and sharing. We would certainly recommend this site.

Note 1: While the property is advertised as a 10 minute walk from the Falls – that is fine for a young healthy person but others will need transportation.

Note 2 We are not new to home rentals. : We have rented homes across the USA (Seattle, Yellowstone, Orlando, Niantic, CT, Washington DC) and this property compared will with all of those locations.

family christmas

  • 4 of 5

My family were together at this home for a family type reunion to celebrate the holidays as well as our mom's 89th bday. There were 17 of us and the house was more then comfortable from the very young to the oldest, who was 93 years old.

We found the owner, Mark very helpful and pleasant to work out our arrangements. The home while an older home was found to be very clean, warm and inviting. We spent a great deal of time around the christmas tree that was up and decorated when we arrived, or sitting at the large dining room table playing board games, or working on christmas crafts. Being centraly located it was easy to get to shopping, resturants, or entertainment at the Seneca Casino. We hope to be able to get together as a family again within the next year, and will certainly be in contact with this owner for future plans. And again, Thanks for everything Mark!
