Property needs better cleaning staff and internet

  • 2 of 5

This unit has the gondola go over it, but it is still a walk up 5-6 sets of stairs and across a road to arrive at the village and lifts. It is not true ski in/ski out. It can be noisy with bar traffic going back and forth through the night. It does have the hot tub, but the icing on the cake for us was it having been filled with bubble bath and maintenance nor security seemed to want to catch nor cared who/why it was like that. It was shut down for the last 3 days of our stay.

When we arrived the toilets all stank and had black sledge in the bottom, the sheets had previous tenants hair and other evidence in them. The master bedroom sheets were ripped. I cleaned all the above myself, and intended on approaching the cleaning staff upon their arrival. The documentation in the unit that reads that it will be cleaned and beds changed mid stay (on a six night stay) is apparently not accurate. After the 3rd day and no cleaning crew I did complain to Terri (the owner). Terri did pay the cleaning fees upon our departure, however he needs to question what it is he pays for!

A staff member did show up to hand me new sheets the night before we checked out. Didn't really have any need for them at that point in time.

Contacted Terri several times about the internet and never did get it resolved, although with teens/cell data etc it was not a HUGE deal to us - it might be for future guests though. The IT gent reported he could not find us, however we were in the unit until 11am every day and most days after 4pm when the hill closed. Nothing in regards to communication was left on the phone (which has a message machine) nor in our door or in the unit. Terri did provide more contact information for him, but again that was towards the end of our trip and for us it was not a big deal.

Maintenance did attend as the main bathroom keeps blowing the light bulbs, yes plural - bulbs. The plug in behind the couch sparks and you have to wiggle the cords to get them to connect. Maintenance suggested the switch behind the TV needed to be turned on, however that had already been done - it was the sparking/connect vs lack of connection we were concerned with.

Terri has a BEAUTIFUL unit, however he needs to step up and have some serious work done on the upkeep/cleanliness and care of the Unit. We found Terri to be cooperative and he did his best to correct all our issues. I believe (other than the distance to the chairs) this unit could be amazing, but it needs cleaners/care.
