Description

Port Stanley Cottage Rental Photos and Description

We currently have four gorgeous cottages for year round rental, all located in Port Stanley, Ontario on the Great Lakes' Lake Erie. At Shoreline Getaways we are dedicated to acquiring cottage properties and making available to others the joy the owners enjoyed with that old fashioned cottage experience. The properties are all of humble origin and gradually we upgrade our properties to improve the standards, attempting to maintain that ambiance of nostalgia.

Lily Cottage Features

The Lily is a lovely cottage fit for a maximum of 8. From a bank of windows overlooking Lake Erie from an upper and lower sunroom you can enjoy sunlight, cool tree shade, a nice breeze, and a great view of the lake.

This beach has a public access walkway and is kept quite clean.

The main beach has many amenities that include basketball courts, beach volleyball and pavilion round out the public beach in the vicinity of the venerable "Mackie's" Restaurant and GT's Bar and Grill. Washroom facilities are also available. Fresh fish is available daily at a very reasonable cost. There is a broad selection of eateries and bars to choose from.

The restored London, St. Thomas Port Stanley Railway is one of the oldest small gauge railways around. It offers tourist excursions from Port Stanley to St. Thomas, including at Christmas. A dispute with CN resulted in the track from St. Thomas to London being eliminated in the late 50's. There is a local summer theatre of high quality and the library offers a good selection. Video rentals are available.

The other area activities include skateboarding (there is a skate park as you enter the town), antiquing, yard saling, arts and crafts as well as there are many bike trails and scenic walking paths.
