About Brett Jarvis

Pocono Dream Cabins is family owned and operated. After moving to the Poconos from NYC, we soon discovered how amazingly beautiful and serene the Poconos truly are--especially considering how close we are to NYC and Philadelphia. Our cabins are approximately 1.5 hours from NYC and 2 hours from Philadelphia. We have had guests from as far away as Holland, and as close as just across the border of New Jersey. Our cabins are fully stocked with all the amenities, including towels and linens.

Very clean, private

  • 5 of 5

We just came home from a great week at this retreat! Two families with 3 kids combined and We had plenty of room and then some! The retreat was well stocked, providing even more than what's listed. The cabin was very private, the sister cabin is slightly visible but noise did not travel. We found plenty of things to do (waterfalls, hiking) starting at about 20 minutes out but if you're looking for pure quiet that's attainable with the retreat also. We also saw Turkey's and a black bear walk by the cabin! We had a great time and look forward to returning!

Wonderful retreat in the woods

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time during our stay. We looked at all the other properties this owner has listed but waited too long to book our stay at the one we wanted & settled on this cabin. It was larger than what we needed, since it was just for me & my wife. But it was not a mistake.

The place was well maintained & clean. The kitchen is well-appointed and had everything we needed during our stay. Wood stove was great and kept us nice & warm. The hot tub was clean & gave us the needed relaxation from our normal 9-5 grind and the view of the night sky from the hot tub was awe inspiring with no light pollution.

We didn't make use of the outdoor fire circle, BBQ or game-room downstairs but all the items were in working order. We did notice that the 55" living room TV remote was missing some batteries and the TV in one bedroom didn't have a remote for the TV or DVD player but otherwise the electronics were in working order. WiFi coverage was very good.

I could definitely see bringing the family here for a stay in the future. In addition, the owner Brett, was easy to work with and answered all my questions prior to and after our booking. Will recommend you to my friends and family.

Relaxing and Cozy.

  • 5 of 5

Relaxing weekend with a larger group. The house was well heated and clean. Brett was extremely accommodating and quick to respond when there was a bit of an issue. Great place for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors on some trails we found. Would definitely go back.

Excellent Property

  • 5 of 5

A group of friends and I rented this property for a fantasy football draft. Everything was as advertised. The location was wonderful, much more secluded than typical Poconos rentals. The home was clean and well stocked. The Jacuzzi worked great as did all of the electronics. The large front room was perfect for our event. The outdoor area and firepit were well maintained. We would certainly rent again.

Map

Nearest Airport
70 Miles
Newark, NJ (EWR)
Car: necessary

There is a huge area of public land, lakes, ponds, wetlands, and forest surrounding the property. Nearby you'll find the Mountain Laurel Center with concerts and events, Pecks Pond, where you can see Bald Eagles, rent boats and fish, or eat at the historic Pecks Pond Inn. Lake Wallenpaupack, the third largest body of water in PA, is 20 minutes away. High Knob, one of the highest mountains in the Poconos, is just a few minutes away. Numerous ski areas, golf courses, paintball, boating, hiking, ATV and Snowmobile trails, waterfalls, and more are all in the nearby area. Milford, Stroudsburg, Matamoras, and Hawley are all about 20-30 minutes away. This property is located centrally in the Poconos so you are within a reasonable drive of almost all of the attractions. What is most unique about this property is that it is not in a gated community, unlike most Pocono vacation rentals, so you can enjoy real seclusion while still being close to civilization.

As for skiing, the great thing about this location is that you are right in the middle of most of the Pocono ski areas. We get a lot of skiers who want to visit a different area every day. Tanglewood is only 12 miles away, about a 20 minute drive. You are also within 30 miles of Shawnee, Camelback, Mountain Creek, Big Bear, Alpine Mountain, Fernwood, and even Sno Mountain in Scranton is not out of reach.
