About Lynette Drumhiller
We are a family of 6 from Mid-Michigan and love a variety of activities and the great outdoors.
Lynette Drumhiller purchased this Cabin in 1998
Why Lynette Drumhiller chose Petoskey
The natural beauty, and wildlife on the property were an extra draw. The perfect location to enjoy the Great Lakes!! Unique boutiques, art galleries and a variety of restaurants are located in Petoskey's Gas Light District, or nearby Bay Harbor, and Harbor Springs. There is something to do for every sport enthusiast or lover of nature. And it's a perfect location for those seeking rest and relaxation too.
What makes this Cabin unique
Relax on the deck and read a book, or watch your favorite movie from one of several tv's. Play Board games or do arts and crafts in the sunroom. Explore the woods and pick Morels in the spring, or visit a local farm during Harvest. Spend the day at Mackinac Island, or head off to one of two area water parks. Frequent the many local art fairs and festivals. Enjoy the paddle boat or fish from the end of the dock. The choice is yours.

Nice location and cabin - needs a little TLC
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The cabin has plenty of space and is located only about 15 minutes from downtown petoskey, which is nice. The lake was nice to look at, although the sandy bottom was so mucky you couldn't really swim (standing in it, you would sink in the muck until about your knees). The kids seemed to be able to overlook it, but the adults couldn't (maybe we are wimps - ha ha!). The main complaint would be around the general 'upkeep' of it...only 1 of the exterior lights worked (none of the ones on the patio facing the water did, which was too bad as we would have liked to sit out there at night...plus it is kind of creepy to be in pitch black), the exhaust fan in one of the bathrooms didn't work, and the kitchen drawers and cupboards were really disorganized (some crammed full of utensils, etc to the point you could barely open them). I think these are easy problems to solve if there was a true property manager or someone to do more than just 'clean' each week - someone needs to really keep the cabin in true working order each week. With renters coming each week I am sure it is easy for stuff to get beat up, messed up, etc and having maids come clean keeps it looking nice but not really as 'kept up' as it ideally would be. Also, someone needs to pull off the handles for the burners on the stove and deep clean it - there is so much cooking oil / grease caked in there it is getting hard to turn the handles. But again, overall it was a nice cabin and Lynnette was nice to deal with (especially when I set off the fire alarm by burning bacon and couldn't turn it off!). I would just highly recommend hiring a property manager to ensure the cabin is maintained a bit more closely. But again, nice quiet location, very pretty, and big cabin.
Great vacation pick for the family
The cabin was very nice, private, and relaxing. Best vacation we have had in a while.
Great quiet spot for a group
We had a small group of friends stay here for the weekend and couldn't have asked for a better spot. Tons of room to relax, sleep, and enjoy everything northern Michigan has to offer in the summer. We loved it!
Great spot for family vacation
Very nice place for our family vacation. Good location near things to do but far enough out to feel like you're getting away. Fishing, boating, campfires, golfing. The beach area is fine to sit at but not very easy entry into the water or sandy bottom once you're in.
Great spot for skiing at Boyne and relaxing with family!
Great, big, cozy house! Loved staying here with our family over New Years. Beautiful snowy view of the lake, comfortable lodging and convenient location for visiting Harbor Springs, Petoskey and skiing at Boyne Highlands :)
Very clean and a perfect set up for our family. We will definitely be back!
We had a great time in this cottage. Everything was clean and set up very nicely. We rented a pontoon from Windjammer and kept it right and the dock. It was the perfect amount of room for the 6 of us and the dog.
