Great place to stay in Brooklyn

  • 5 of 5

The location of the apartment is great. Close to everything, nice neighborhood, easy subway access, etc. The apartment was spacious, clean and well appointed. Daniel was great to work with. I would definitely recommend this apartment for a New York or Brooklyn stay. For sure, it will be my first choice when I return to NYC to visit my daughter.

My new favourite NYC accommodation

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was charming, well stocked and immaculate. Being able to breakfast in the lovely garden was a great gift. The air conditioning worked a treat - and we needed it. Daniel was instantly responsive and helpful when we had questions. The location was more convenient to NYC activities than many places I've stayed in Manhattan. The neighbourhood itself is the perfect mix of trendy and homey. I can't think of one good reason to ever stay anywhere else when I visit NYC.

This was perfect for our visit. It's close to the subway and the neighborhood was charming. We even were able to walk a couple blocks to see the 4th of July fireworks. The owner was very nice and checked in on us. The unit it's self was cozy and had everything we needed.

Another wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

Our second time staying at this wonderful apartment. Photos don't really do it justice - this is a fantastic space, very open, on a wonderful block full of friendly people. Within walking distance of all the spots in Williamsburg, and a very quick train ride over to Manhattan. Back yard is truly an oasis, hard to believe you're in the middle of a city. Highly recommended. The host is wonderful also.

Superb Apartment and Location

  • 5 of 5

3 friends and I stayed here over New Year 15/16 and have absolutely no complaints about the apartment. Good communication to allow us to find the apartment easily and also get the keys! The apartment is large with 1 bed and a sofa bed/dining table, all open plan. The bathroom has a jacuzzi bath and shower which was awesome. There's an outdoor area at the back for the smokers too.

Location wise we could not fault this either, in the heart of Brooklyn close to some awesome bars and restaurants/cafes.

Thanks for letting us stay.

almost a week in Williamsburg

  • 2 of 5

I think that this place was just ok. It was clean and the bed was comfortable but there was nothing personal about it. I like when a vrbo feels cared about and not just a business. I would have liked a TV, I would have liked there not to be a leak into a garbage pail under bathroom sink. Also the bathroom is tiny with a huge old jacuzzi taking up most of the room. Nice to have a backyard but it is an afterthought. Daniel is a nice guy, helpful and available.. I think it may be a better location for young people. Getting in and out of the jacuzzi was a trick.

Owner's Response: Hmm... we are a bit shocked and puzzled at the only 2-star we've ever received. First, there is a big note on our listing page that says "NO TV". We do not provide a TV on purpose. This is not a hotel room, but rather a meticulously and continually cared-for apartment that we have taken great pains to make extremely cozy and very personable, including the literally brand new $11,000 kitchen and $5000 luxury sleeper-sofa. But that is beside the point. How does one book a place that says "NO TV", and then complain that there is no TV? The leak under the sink would have been fixed immediately if they had let us know there was one. Why they did not is a mystery, since we live upstairs and they were encouraged to text or call us with any question or issue. Also, this guest pleaded with us to allow her to bring her "service" dog (we do not allow pets), yet we let her bring the dog, who didn't seem to think the backyard was an "afterthought". And finally, as for being "better suited for younger people..." Almost all of our 5-star reviews are from guests in their 50's and 60's who stay with us whenever they visit their kids who have settled in Williamsburg or other parts of Brooklyn. They have all been extremely happy here, as is proven by our dozens of repeat guests (all of retirement age). Indeed everyone is entitled to their opinion, although this one strikes us as a bit disingenuous and mistakenly misplaced with us. Godspeed to you.
