Located just minutes from town on the Alaska Highway, the 18-hole Dawson Creek Golf & Country Club offers a manicured golf course with three par-4 holes. 16km/10mi north of Dawson Creek on the Alaska Highway, Farmington Fairways is a 9-hole course rated as a par 36. It has a clubhouse, a Pro Shop and a 300 yard driving range.
The Bear Mountain cross-country ski area offers ripping summer mountain biking trails. Or enjoy a peaceful, forest walk and learn about the region's flora and fauna along Radar Lake Community Forest's well-marked interpretive trails.
The Dawson Creek Agricultural Fair, Rodeo and Exhibition provides a truly authentic feel of Dawson Creek's agricultural roots. For five days each August, there are temporary entertainment venues and exciting events such as bareback and saddle broncos, bull-riding, team roping and calf wrestling, in addition to musical entertainment, livestock shows, horticultural displays, and carnival rides.
The Dawson Creek Exhibition Fair Grounds are located west of the airport, tucked behind the Multiplex. Parking and camping areas are specifically designated for this event, located east of the multiplex, turning off from Highway 2. There are parking and camping fees.
