The real Roman deal: a fantastic way of living in this beautiful city. The apartment is bright, spacious, and in an ideal and central neighborhood. It is thoughtfully furnished, with great style, and maintained and kept clean to a high standard, with a helpful property manager to answer questions, address problems, and offer local recommendations. It sleeps 8 comfortably -- great value for the price. I hope to return here often!
Dear Guest, we are glad you enjoyed your stay and Rome, your words are the best reward for our efforts to stay at the top of the market, we look forward to have again as our guests, filippo
Large, spacious, sunny and very comfortable and well located apartment
This is a great homebase for your stay in the Rome. The apartment is very well located in the center of Rome, near the Plaza Navona and the Pantheon and, just across the river, Castelo Santangelo and St. Peter’s. And yet very quiet, comfy and cozy. Plenty of restaurants in the area.
Grand Orsetto is wonderful place to stay in Rome
We stayed here over March 2018 (Spring Break for us in the US). The location was wonderful with easy access to most of the downtown areas (such as Piazza Navona). There were many high quality restaurants (and gelato!) nearby. We also easily made it to the Vatican and the Colosseum. We had four adults (two couples) and three kids (ages 8, 9, 12) that stayed here easily. The rooms are large, well lit using the provided lamps, and with high vaulted ceilings. There was no outside noise, only the chirping birds to wake you in the AM. I'd any family to stay here the next time you are in Rome!
The photos on the website do not do it justice. Much better in reality. Very large. Very quiet. Very clean. Very central. Excellent cooker with 5 rings and good oven. The main part of the apartment is wonderfully bright.
The room under the eaves is very atmospheric but it is dark as only lit by skylights. In parts of this area it is easy to hit your head on the rafters. There is a fairly steep, fairly narrow stairs to reach it, so anyone with mobility problems or with younger children should bear this in mind.
Good WiFI. Excellent heating for winter rental.
Apartment is on the first floor and access stairs are quite worn as shown on the photos of the apartment so anyone with mobility problems should bear this in mind.
A peaceful haven in the centre of Rome!
We travelled to Rome for the Rugby and had a great weekend at Grand Orsetto. The apartment is perfect for three couples, a bathroom each and plenty of space in the communal areas. The location is spot on for seeing all the sights of Rome and once through the doors it is peaceful and quiet. There are some great restaurants nearby, I can highly recommend Restaurant Lagana , just doors away, very friendly and great food. The apartment was clean and warm and checking in and out was very easy. Thank you, Irina for accommodating us for an early check in and late check out. I would highly recommend a stay in this truly Italian apartment.
Fabulous location!! Comfortable beds and the best restaurants right outside our door.
Perfect home away from home for 3 couples!! We were in the attic and completely comfortable. We loved our home in Roma!!
dear Guest, thank you, we are glad you enjoyed Grand Orsetto and your stay in Rome, we hope to have you as a guest in our apartments in the future,
PIAZZA NAVONA is one of the grandest piazzas in Rome, a triumph of baroque art, where Bernini and Borromini challenged each other with their formidable masterpieces. The fountain of the four rivers by Bernini faces the great church of St. Agnes, by Borromini. Nearby, in Corso Rinascimento, Borromini built one of the finest examples of Baroque, the magnificent church of St. Yves, inside the National Archives Palace. Don't miss it! Piazza Navona is busy all day, except in the early morning, its best time. VIA DELL'ORSO is a characteristic street of old medieval Rome, prior to the baroque period. It is a limited traffic street, very quiet, and yet very close to most visiting sites. From there you can easily reach your destinations, all within walking distance: Piazza Navona (150 m), Pantheon (600 m), Trevi fountain (1 km, 10 min), Campo di Fiori (800 m), Saint Peter (2 km), Castel Sant'Angelo (800 m, 9), Spanish Steps (1 km), Tiberina Island (1.7), the Ghetto (1,2 km), Capitol (1.6 km, 20), Colosseo (2,1 km, 25), Ara Pacis (700 m). TRANSPORT Taxis to/from airport have fixed rate (7.00am-11.00pm); at night the rate is by the meter. Private pick up service to/from airport to Orsetto (3 to 8 people) is in the range of € 50/75. Train from the airport to Rome costs € 14/person. Taxi from station to Orsetto costs about € 15. For City transport, please check this web page in english: http://www.atac.roma.it/index.asp?lingua=ENG. It includes subway and buses. It may help you plan your stay in Rome.
