Wonderful home with a view of the Shenandoah!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this home for a NYE gathering with a small group of friends. I couldn't recommend it more! Plenty of hiking nearby, and Harpers Ferry looks beautiful in the winter. The house itself was spacious, clean, and well-stocked with kitchen amenities. A great way to start the year!

Just as advertised

  • 4 of 5

The house was nearly perfect for our getaway. My friends and I got to reconnect and enjoy the seclusion the location offered. The nearest neighbors were far enough away to not be bothered by us on the deck in the evenings. The kitchen was perfect for feeding our party of 10.

Only complaints are small:

1) The yard is not flat at all, so outdoor games are tough.

2) The grill is small and needs to be replaced or repaired

3) The deck furniture is due for repair or replacement

Comfortable for a family stay

  • 4 of 5

The view from the upstairs kitchen and dining area was beautiful. The house was clean and well stocked with towels and plenty of dishes, etc to cook and serve meals. The only complaint we had we that there was a bad odor in the house that we could not figure out where it was coming from.

Wonderful place with a great view

  • 5 of 5

The house is very comfortable and welcoming. I appreciate that the owner labelled everything. Spent two days on the deck with friends enjoying the weather and grilling out. Would definitely rent again.

Quiet wilderness retreat that makes you feel right at home!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I recently stayed at the house for a long weekend. We had an excellent time in the Harper's Ferry area and really enjoyed the home itself. The house is very roomy, comfortable and accommodating without the pretentiousness that you sometimes get with rental properties. The wrap-around deck was great for grilling and playing cornhole and the massage chair downstairs was a big hit. The river is within walking distance and there are many fun things to do within a short drive (golf, casino, etc). I certainly recommend this home to any type of group for a weekend getaway, or longer!
