My friends and I recently stayed at the house for a long weekend. We had an excellent time in the Harper's Ferry area and really enjoyed the home itself. The house is very roomy, comfortable and accommodating without the pretentiousness that you sometimes get with rental properties. The wrap-around deck was great for grilling and playing cornhole and the massage chair downstairs was a big hit. The river is within walking distance and there are many fun things to do within a short drive (golf, casino, etc). I certainly recommend this home to any type of group for a weekend getaway, or longer!
Six of us shared this home and we were very comfortable. The house is well taken care of, there were plenty of towels and extra helpful items. Clear instructions. We loved the massage chair and the deck! Driveway and the road are a little rough but once you're there it's wonderful. We would stay again.
A bit off the beaten track but ideal for our white water rafting trip in Harpers Ferry. The house was clean and comfortable and lovely and quiet. We found supermarkets and quaint towns within a few miles of the property. If we raft at Harpers Ferry again, we will definitely stay here.
Spent a few nights with family in this nice rental. House was clean and spacious, plus convenient to historic area. Also took a day trip to DC which was fun. Location was quiet but a little difficult to find, at first. Views were great. The massage chair caused several to nap unexpectedly. Would stay here again.
What a great house!! Everything was great - clean - gorgeous views!
We just got back from our wonderful family trip to Harpers Ferry. Even though the weather was a bit snowy and cold we still managed to get out and about and enjoy the local area as well as spend time with family at this lovely property.
I booked our trip last minute and there were not many options for a large group but this house was available for our party of eight. I was a bit concerned about renting this place after reading the latest review on their web-site. However we found the house to be very clean, bright and comfortable. There were clean towels and sheets, shampoo/cond in the bathrooms, and a wall mounted hair dryer in each bathroom. The kitchen had all of the necessary items for cooking family meals and the fridge, stove top and oven were spotless. The view from the deck was also amazing! Our family have stayed at many vacation homes over the years and we found this place to be very cozy and relaxing and excellent value for money. Thank-you Chris and Leanne!
