When my wife and I travel we always stay in vacation rentals. Not only have we found there's no better (or more comfortable) way to enjoy our adventures, we've also been exposed to some wonderful and charming owners. They've always helped enrich our experiences and made our stays more interesting and enjoyable.
Having lived in Dallas for over 30 years, we'd like to offer that same level of care to our guests. We want to help them experience Dallas in new, different, and exciting ways.
David Shinn purchased this apartment in 1978
We've owned this property for some time. When it became time to renovate the property we decided to investigate a vacation rental option.
After researching furnished rental opportunities in Dallas we discovered there were few quality opportunities.
Considering this property's unique characteristics, central location, and complete renovation made it an easy decision to bring it to market and offer it to you. Our hope is that you enjoy the space and make staying with us a regular event.
This was a great appartment from which to get to know Dallas, and to enjoy the Final Four. Super location in a great neighborhood. Walking access to restaurants, shops and groceries. Well-appointed space perfect for our group of two adult couples. It is well-maintained and very comfortable. Access to Love Field particularly easy. David was responsive to communications before, during and after our stay. No hesitation at all to recommed this rental. We would stay again.
We rented this Duplex for a month to explore Dallas, get away from Iowa winter for awhile, and to be near our daughter and son inlaw. We had a great experience! I would recommend this Duplex for a VRBO. It was comfortable, cozy, and very convenient location to everything....Uptown, Downtown, Northpark Mall, Greenville, West Village, etc. David, the owner, is very accommodating, flexible, and easy to work with. Lisa, the upstairs neighbor is wonderful as well! :)
I stayed here when in town for a wine seminar. This house was perfect for us. Great location, well kept, the best kitchen, and of course affordable. There were 5 of us that stayed here and between the beds, couch, and mattresses we all were very comfortable. The owner is very accommodating and was willing to go out of his way to make sure we were ok. The house is literally two blocks from Whole Foods and not far from everything else. We all had a great time and would recommend this house to all!
Take it from a family that has stayed at over 20 vacation rental properties in the past 2 years: this Dallas gem has everything going for it! Convenience to downtown Dallas and a TON of restaurants and shopping (both Whole Foods and Trader Joe's were 5 easy minutes away!), easy check-in and communication with David the owner (he was super quick to fix a window shade issue, and asked his own network for local babysitter options upon my request), and comfortable furniture (both beds were plush - but take note that the 4-poster bed sits high up!). Lakewood is a really pretty neighborhood, and you're in the company of some very swanky homes, and just blocks from the historic Swiss Avenue neighborhood. We have a 3-year-old and an infant, and we always felt safe. The house is close to White Rock Lake and the gorgeous Arboretum. While we were there, the State Fair was in full swing and we had a blast!
We would stay here again in a heartbeat! We definitely recommend this property and the owner!
Family business has necessitated some combination of our family members to be in Dallas a lot this summer. Thankfully, we found these owners and their wonderful properties--we have rented from them for 4+ weeks and have nothing but great things to share. We have done VRBO all over America and this property rates among the very highest. It is well appointed, stylish and comfortable. The pictures you see are accurate; the property has been renovated to a high quality. You could check in, run down the street to Whole Foods, and have guests for dinner the first night you arrive. Location is perfect as well for a corporate visitor, wifi, proximity to downtown, etc. Bottom line, you would do well to stay here!
Some college friends and I recently stayed in this condo for a girls weekend getaway. We had a great time and LOVED the condo. We had 5 ladies plus a one year old and we all fit very comfortably. The kitchen was great - we were able to make a lot of our meals together and were surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was with utensils, pots and pans, etc. Condo was also very clean and modernized throughout. Would definitely recommend to others as you get a lot for your money and are in a great location. We hope to have further reunions here as well!
If you've come to Dallas to participate in its wide array of special events there is no better location.
The White Rock Marathon route is less than one block away, five blocks takes you to Dallas' annual Saint Patty's Day Parade; Dallas' Arts District is less than a 10 minute drive; and you can take a 10 minute bus ride to Fair Park and the great State Fair of Texas.
