Mile End Apartment Rental Photos and Description

3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1100 sq ft bright apartment (Sleeps 8)

Rest assured that what you see here is what you get when you check-in. I've been on VRBO for over 5 years. The apartment is owned by me as does the building. This apartment is being rented out legally.

The apartment is very centrally located. Mile-End is a highly multicultural district with a mix of Anglophone and Francophone populations and is known for its artistic neighborhood, home to artists, musicians, writers and filmmakers such as Adam Gollner and Plants and Animals, etc. There are many art galleries, designers’ workshops, boutiques and cafes found here.

Steps to shops, grocery stores, pubs, bistros and restaurants. YMCA 5 minute walk with daily pass. Many nearby parks and swimming pools.

All major attractions within 10-20 minutes away, such as Mount Royal Park, Downtown, Old Montreal, Old Port, Olympic stadium, Insectarium, Biodome, Botanical Gardens, International Fireworks competition: Grand Prix June, International Jazz festival, Just for Laughs comedy festival, etc.

*** If you need a place for a party or event please look elsewhere. Loud noise is not tolerated between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. We have great relationships with our neighbours and would like to keep it that way. With large groups the noise does rise without anyone realizing. :) ***

perfect place for us!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. It was clean and cool when we arrived, had plenty of comfortable space for all of us. Nice to hang out in, comfortable for sleeping and a fair price. Hosts left good suggestions for delicious restaurants within walking distance - especially Pizza Venise, a very friendly chef and delicious pizza!

The only downsides I can think of are: the front bedroom got a little hot at night as it had no air conditioner. And parking... Parking was available right in front of the house but costs $2/hour between 9am-9pm, which gets expensive quickly. It was convenient to leave it there overnight but difficult to find side street parking during the day. But we preferred to use the Metro to get around.

Overall, we loved it and I would happily recommend it and rent it again!

Comfortable, airy space in great location

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in Ruth's apartment. It was very comfortable for 6 people, with air conditioning in the bedrooms. It was definitely worth the value, and in an awesome location. Highly recommend!

Comfortable place worked well for our family

  • 5 of 5

This is a well-maintained and renovated apartment that was very comfortable for our family of four and could easily take more people. We would stay there again and would recommend to others. It was very good value for the money.

It is at the further-from-downtown end of the Mile End neighborhood. I liked staying in Mile End rather than in the more touristy areas. We had a car and we used it to go downtown and to Old Port and Old Montreal. Parking is available there as long as you don't mind paying, 15 to 18 dollars for the entire day. There's a bus but it would have been slow and I don't want to spend my vacation standing at bus stops. You can park on the street in front of the apartment although you have to pay for it at most hours except overnight. I was able to find free spots on the smaller streets parallel to Avenue du Parc, within 5 minute walk.

The apartment was quiet and peaceful at night and we were able to sleep late with no problem.

It has window-mounted air conditioners in two of the bedrooms and the common area. We needed them in July. The third bedroom does not have a/c but as long as I kept the door open I was able to keep it cool in there by using a fan to bring in cool air from the common area.

There is only one bathroom, which seems to be common for apartments of this size in Montreal. The stairs are very steep, which is also common. You need to be quite careful on the outside stairs especially.

The wifi worked ok on our smartphones but I never got it to work properly on my laptop. The apartment is well-equipped with dishes, coffeemaker, toaster, laundry. No dishwasher, though. We bought some groceries at the supermarket that is down the street. There are many convenience stores nearby the apartment.

Lovely and spacious apartment

  • 5 of 5

This was my first VRBO rental, and after my experience, I would definitely book through VRBO again. The apartment was as described - everything was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked with kitchen items, the beds very comfortable, and there were plenty of towels (four of us used the apartment). I liked that the owner had information available regarding where to purchase bus/metro passes, which busses to take to Old Montreal and downtown, local restaurants and other neighborhood services. I would definitely recommend this apartment.
