This property was incredible! It checked off all of our boxes, and even the boxes we didn't anticipate. I would definitely recommend this property to others, and I would stay there again next time I'm in the area.
Nice property, good location, nice views, beautiful and cozy family room/kitchen/dining room
We had a great family vacation time for ten if us and will definitely be back
Great Cottage but poor communication
The cottage was about 10 minutes from the Blue Mountain Village and from a beach, it had a swimming pool, hot tub, a sauna, a pool table (we didn't use it) and a fire pit. These were all great bonuses. The swimming pool was heated which made it even nicer! The third floor of the cottage was also very nice. It was where the kitchen/living room/dinning room was. It was where we all hung out during the day/evening. The bedrooms were on the main and bottom floors. The mattresses weren't the greatest but they did the job. There were two bathrooms, however one of them was inside one of the bedroom, so it wasn't as easily accessible at night when the bedroom was in use. But we made it work.
There was a great lack of communication between the booking agents and the property managers. We called to ask for early check in and late check out. We were told to call the day before the stay to confirm early check in. We did and she said she would have the property manager call us when the chalet was ready as there were guests leaving the day we were coming. However, we didn't hear anything from anyone on the day of check in. We were also told that the late check out would not be a problem. Instead of 11 we would be able to leave at 12noon. How at 11 the property manager came and asked us to leave as it was check out time. I tried to explain to him what the booking agent told me, however he was short and rude to me. He did not was to listen and kept on insisting that what I was saying could not be possible. I didn't appreciate the manner he was speaking to me in.
Also the booking agent told us the kitchen was fully loaded. However the kitchen didn't have salt, pepper, sugar, coffee filters or hand towels. These are simple things that you would expect a "fully" loaded kitchen to have.
I understand that we were told to bring our own towels, however I understood that was or body towels. I wish it was made clear that there were no towels at all. None in the kitchen or the bathrooms.
I also didn't understand why we paid $150+ for linen service only to have to put them on ourselves? When we arrived the linens were in bags on the bed!
