When you first arrive you will feel the breeze and immediately see the Ocean it's the best welcome! We have one parking space just a short walk to our 2nd floor condo, there are other parking spaces available that can be rented.
Our condo is a 50 foot walk to the beach, you will enjoy a fresh breeze almost constantly enabling you to open the windows and stay cool with the natural drafts built into the condo. We do have air conditioning but it's rarely needed.
You will enjoy one master bedroom with a queen size bed, adjoining bath with shower. This bathroom is also accessible from the hallway. The second bedroom has a bunk bed which sleeps 2 on the bottom and 2 on the top, is a custom made queen size bunk bed. The third room (library since it has no closet and it has adjoining doors to the Master Bedroom) has a full bed and a wall of windows with the best view in the house (except for the rooftop).
Our condo is comfortable with fresh, new linens and towels and a full kitchen. We do not boast granite counter tops and upscale appliances which our price tag will reflect, but we have beautiful views AND easy access to the beach given that it's 50 feet from our front door! If you have children it's also great to hang out in the grassy courtyard or on a porch and watch the children play below.

I'm a stay at home mom and farmer, who stays busy with 3 boys and many animals and plants. I also manage this rental property for our family condo, we have been coming to Puerto Rico for over 40 years starting with my grandparents in the 70's.
The Owner purchased this condo in 1997
My grandparents settled on Puerto Rico in their 60's the lovely setting, easy access to the States and people won them over.
I enjoy laying in the hammock on our front porch looking out to the ocean and down at the children playing in the grass. It's refreshing to have the children enjoying themselves while I can relax while knowing they are safe and happy.
We are always healthy keeping well nourished with the local fruits and veggies easily accessible.
Proximity to Luquillo Beach and El Yunque Rainforest, both within minutes by car.
We stayed at Playas del Yunque for a low-key bachelorette weekend, and it was perfect. There is a good sized deck that faces the ocean, so you can sit and watch the waves roll in day or night. There is also a second smaller deck that has a view of the ocean and some of the other condos. This condo is basically the best condo on the property because it directly faces the ocean, and the walk to the beach is 30 seconds. The condo is spacious, and my friends and I all agreed that the photos on VRBO do not do it justice. The owner Karine was very helpful prior to our arrival, and Tica, the property manager, was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The kiosks (small restaurants) are about ten minutes drive away. We also walked along the beach to the Wyndam for drinks, which was nice. The biobay in Fajardo is about 20 minutes by car. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this spot to others.
We really love our stay… this property is all about LOCATION! Best location ocean front in the entire area. The apartment is lovely, clean and huge if you compare it with other beach apartments. The glass panoramic windows make all the difference! You can see a great view from every part of the apartment with nothing to obstruct the scenery. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need. For us the only downside was that the air conditioner units are small BTU’s for the size of the bedrooms and does not get as cold as we like, but it was manageable when we turned on the electric fans. The bunk bed room AC unit needs to be replaced soon. I mentioned to Roberta the Property Administrator and she was going to buy a new AC unit for the room. Have to say that Roberta was very nice and diligent she really makes a plus for the staying on this property. We are looking forward for our next stay!
This was the most wonderful place!! The location was great so close to the beach and the El Yunque.. We stayed for 20 nights and I could have just stayed forever.. We have been to PR before and have just fallen in love.. We went to Culebra twice on this trip 1 time wasnt enough.. Loved riding the ferry over and rented a golf cart to get around the island it was amazing cant wait to return and do some snorkeling at Melones beach. I hope to return this year and enjoy the wonderful condo and its location to everything!!
Our stay was, very much, enjoyed! The property had all the comforts of home and plenty of room for our entire family (of 5), which made the stay that much greater. With the private beach at our disposal anytime, day or night, it was everything one could want from a fun day swimming in the beautiful blue ocean waters to a moonlit stroll on the beach. The breeze that comes off the beach is exhilarating while enjoying a drink on the balcony. Very quiet and safe place and the manager and her mom were very helpful giving us some information about places to go.
The reason we picked this location is because of its proximity to the ocean. Knowing how close it was we were still wowed by how close you actually are and how comfortable it is with the trade winds constantly blowing. We went in April and literally no one was there! We had the beach to ourselves for as far as the eye could see on either side. Even the Wyndham was sparsely populated. I am an early riser and it was nice seeing the sunrise as you look out over the balcony every morning. Those trade winds blow all day long and keep the condo very temperate. We did not need any air conditioning at all. As other posters have noted, the kitchen is well stocked. We cooked almost all our meals there except for a few where we tried local cuisine.
Rio Grande is a great location for El Yunque hiking (we went 2x), and Bio bay kayaking in Fajardo. You can get everything you need in a short car ride. It is only about a 30-45 minute from San Juan depending on traffic. For those of you not used to city driving be aware of Rt.3. It can be very crowded and I have just learned that driving in Boston is actually more pleasant than here. I was amazed at some of the moves I saw drivers make :)
The one thing my wife and I were not big fans of was the comfortability of the condo. We felt the master bedroom bed was too hard and not very comfortable. I can sleep anywhere but I had trouble in this bed and had to use the other beds, which are twins. I have not slept in a twin in ages so if you are looking for that hotel bed experience you should look elsewhere. Also, the futon was way too hard and the coverings of the single chairs were dated and stained. We did not spend too much time in the condo so it was not such a big deal.
Please take note there is no cable television but there is wireless connectivity. This was not an issue but if you come to expect this in your travels just be prepared to rent DVDs or stream Hula or something on your laptop/tablet.
Wonderful one-week beach holiday in Puerto Rico. The property was very clean, right on the beach, and has two balconies, which offered fabulous views of the beach and a perfect spot for a relaxing meal or to just watch the sunset. The condo is only about 5 minutes from Yunque Rainforest, and the little town along the way offered nice shops for gifts or essentials. And, only about 30 minutes from San Juan/airport, so it's a convenient location for a day trip into the capital or around the island, while still being able to relax at the beach in the morning and evening.
