The ocean front , 66 feet of ocean front ,the detail of the house with it's style , each room is a different vibe the size of the house plenty of room,
the palm trees surrounding it's foundation ,the boardwalk use of the area for biking , basketball , surfing, swimming ,tennis +the convienence of restaurants , pubs , markets. are walking distance (not driving distance ) this particular area of mission beach is quiet , unlike the rest of mission beach . it is a prime location of this 5 mile strip & also close to the bay & marina for Boating.
This house was top notch , my partners & have been meeting in san diego
every April for the past 9 years & we always stayed at the Valencia renting 5
rooms for one week, til we saw this place , we will be staying here from now
on .This place is absolutely beautiful & being right on the ocean made it key.
Curtis was great. very freindly. He met us the day before our stay and walked through the house. The house was perfect for our late Christmas party. Great views on all 3 floors, perfect size kitchen for entertaining, plenty of room in the living room for our guest to be cozy by the fire place and the boys watch football on the big flat screen TV. Plenty of room on the 2 huge decks to watch the beautiful sunset. The Jacuzzi on the 3rd deck was awesome. The bedrooms were great with 3 out of the 5 bedrooms with a great view of the ocean to watch the waves and dolphins. We had a great stay and can't wait to book another stay.
This was our second time staying at this location and we are looking forward to our third! The location of this vacation house is perfectly situated between the roller coaster and Crystal Pier, so getting to eating, shopping, bars, and attractions at either end is easy. The views from the second and third floor balconies are picture-perfect, though we did wish for a larger patio on the boardwalk itself. The hot tub on the third floor is a great place to warm up after a swim in the ocean, but the water didn't seem to get as hot as it should've. Both criticisms are so minor compared to the beauty of rest of the house, we won't even remember them when we go to book our third stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at this unique property. This is one of the few large ocean front properties on mission beach. We loved the multiple outdoor spaces and the 5 beds worked perfectly for our group of 9. The furnishings and artwork are above and beyond your standard rental and made the place feel like a home. The hot tub was a treat! The washer and dryer were convenient. Just one note on the garage it really only holds one regular sized car.
Rented this house for two days for a mini family get together. Location is amazing. The house was super clean with all the essentials needed (minus a few) The size was perfect and accommodating! The rooftop with the jaquzzi was amazing!
However my husband and I arrived at 3:30 pm. The cleaners were still there. No big deal since check in was at 4pm anyways. Poked my head in the door just to say we would be sitting outside enjoying the view and to take your time. One of the cleaners immediately interrogated me. "You have only 10 people max right? You need to check out at exactly 10am. I'll be here at 10 am. You have to have only 10 people max. No mas. Sometimes my boss comes when your sleeping to check on you and see how many people you have."
1st of all, since when does the house cleaner ask questions and tell me the rules?
2nd, her boss, the owner, comes to the house to check on us while we sleep?? Wtf. Creepy!
Also we had absolutely no toilet paper. I did talk to the owner and said he would be more than happy to bring some, but my brother was already on his way back from the store.
There was also no propane. Again, the owner said he would bring some but, my brother was on his way back with a propane in tow as well. The bbq was so dirty that the flames could not get it hot enough. We tried everything. We had to pan fry about 15 burgers. With no air vent....
Those two things may not seem major, but for us it was. We had a ton of food to BBQ and it put a damper on things. The house is expensive. When you're paying x amount of money for a weekend, little things like toilet paper should be available.
The furniture is a little old. Could use some cleaning or new pillows at the very least.
With that said, if you have no issues with the things I've mentioned, this house is great!
Again, location and views MADE the trip/ house that much better.
Location is perfect. House was more than spacious enough and had room for two cars in the garage. Appliances are all newer and everything worked perfectly. No surprises --which we've learned is always a GOOD thing.
I'm sure we will be back again. Big thumbs up for this place.
Awesome beach house with amazing outdoor spaces. Easily accommodated our group of 10. Kitchen came with a plethora of pots, pans, utensils and even a fully stocked spice drawer. Overall great experience, would do it all over again.
10 minutes Airport/downtown La Jolla 5 minutes to Seaworld.
