About Maura Pennisi

I found these adorable cottages while taking a summer drive! I envisioned fixing one of them up and decorating it, the way I would want to rent it myself! Many hours were put into finishing this bungalow to perfection! I could not have done this without my good friend "Ernie!" My hope is that you will enjoy the comforts of this bungalow and create many happy vacation memories during your stay!

We hope to see you for a return stay! Enjoy!!

What makes this cottage unique

Can't you just picture yourself sitting on the porch, relaxing with a glass of wine or a cold beer, on a warm summer day! Although the bungalow may be tiny it encompassed many changes, as it was built in 1920!. I changed it from a double entrance to a single entrance, updated windows, doors, remodeled kitchen, broke down a wall to expand the living room and kitchen and built a breakfast bar in the middle. A painted mural in the kitchen, extending from a framed ocean picture, creates attention to detail! The bathroom depicts the blue ocean and is very airy and light!

Great Get Away Treasure😜

Charming little "Bungalow". Clean, nice decor & well stocked kitchen @ cleaning supplies. Bright sunlit rooms with gentle breezes throughout. Loved the front porch for dining & wineing time. Great place for 2.

perfect amount of everything

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was cozy and perfect. The kitchen had everything you could want. The proximity to downtown Ogunquit was awesome. Walking one mile was not a big deal to go into town in the evening. The last .25 mile of the walk back no longer has street lights so a flashlight is recommended. It was just far enough away that if we wanted quiet and privacy we could have it. The pool was beautiful for a swim under the moon.

We chose to drive to York beach because we didn't want to walk that distance with all of our beach bum gear. It was an easy drive and not much traffic (rte 1 into Ogunquit is kind of insane but the cottage is just far enough away that you don't have to deal with it).

I would highly recommend! I stay in Ogunquit for a week every year. The place I use to stay no longer exists. I think I found my new place.

Charming Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We chose this cottage to stay in on our way to Acadia and wanted to stay in something halfway up to our destination. We love the Ogunquit area and it is really hard in the summer to find something for a day or two as most rentals are week only. Well I found this cottage and figured why not give it a try. We are so happy that we did. The cottages are all tastefully decorated on the outside, each different but each with a seaside theme. Our cottage was very clean, and again the ocean theme inside made it a very happy place to stay for a few days. The cottage has everything you need. Maura has done an excellent job in providing such an affordable stay in such a beautiful area. The cottage is close to everything. It has quiet, peaceful surroundings. We also stayed in the same cottage again on our return trip from Acadia. Was nice to know we had a clean, comfortable place to look forward to once again. Thanks Maura!!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your feedback on the cottage. My whole intent in buying this cottage and fixing it up was to provide guests a "home away from home" with things they would have in their own home! It is so rewarding to get feedback on how I helped to make a person/families' vacation a little nicer, one to remember!

Great cottage close to everything!

  • 5 of 5

My family had a great time staying at this Cottage. It is close to everything and just minutes away from restaurants food and things to do. I would highly recommend staying here and the owner is very easy to work with. You are a short drive to multiple coast towns but everything you need is just minutes away if you don't want to drive.

Very cute and cozy

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from our 4 night stay at this cute and cozy bungalow. It was small but comfortable, clean and convenient to Marginal Way and the beautiful beaches. It was exactly as pictured and had everything we needed and then some. We quickly realized that we had over packed as we expected to have to supply a lot of the essentials that Maura and Ernie supplied for us. We appreciated it. We really enjoyed the pool after long, sandy days at the beach, the fire pit for relaxing and roasting marshmallows and the grill and picnic table for dinners in. We won't hesitate to go back again in the future, it was a great value compared to most of the high priced hotel/motels in the area.
