This small island cottage is the perfect choice for small families or couples looking to get away without breaking the bank. Situated in a quiet neighborhood near the bay, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Ocean City’s great beaches and boardwalk.
WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT HERE: There’s fenced-in side and back yards with lawn furniture, and if parking on the street is hard to come by, you can fit up to 3 cars out back. Beach chairs and umbrella are stocked in the shed (just in case you forgot to shlep yours from home!) Inside, a new coat of paint has freshened up all the rooms, and the hardwood floors have been restored to their original luster. New tile has been laid in the entryway and kitchen. Other details about the place:
LIVING ROOM: The living room and dining area are well lit thanks to west-facing windows that pour in the afternoon sun. An over-sized couch and chair are perfect for curling up with a good book or watching a movie after a long day at the beach. TV, DVD, VCR and wireless Internet are all available in the cottage.
KITCHEN: While it definitely won’t win any awards in the size department, the small kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, dishes, cups, utensils and everything else you need for a whipping up a quick breakfast for the kids before heading out to the beach in the morning, or serving up some take-out from one of the fabulous eateries in town. (Menus for many of them are in a drawer in the living room). The kitchen table seats up to 4 people, or you can move out to the dining area in the living room, where the table can be opened up to seat 6.
BED/BATH: The cottage has 3 bedrooms, one bathroom, and comfortably sleeps 6. On most evenings, the southerly breeze flowing through the house usually cools the day’s heat, but each bedroom does have its own window AC unit, as well as a wall unit in the living room. (There is also a ceiling fan in the living room, as well as in the middle bedroom). Each bedroom has a bureau, nightstand, and closet with hangers and hampers; we supply the bedspreads, pillows, mattress pads and blankets, but you will need to bring your own sheets, pillowcases and towels. If you need to run a quick load of laundry, there’s a washer and dryer just off the kitchen.
MEMORIES: Ocean City has been a part of our life for 3 generations. My grandparents owned an Italian restaurant and produce shop here in the 1920’s, and my parents lived in town much of their married life. I have very fond memories of growing up here, riding bikes around town, taking in concerts at the Music Pier, playing mini golf on the boardwalk, screaming on the rides at Wonderland Pier or Gillian’s Water Park, and of course… eating! Pizza at Mack-N-Manco’s, custard at Kohr Brothers, a giant crab cake at Dell’s, or brunch at Bob’s Grill or Oves’. I would like to share this wonderful island resort with you and your friends and family. Start making some new memories of your own (or maybe bring back a few from your childhood, too!)
*** PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOME. *** We are unavailable for senior weeks, prom parties, or rentals under the age of 28. If you are in one of these groups, you may want to consider some of the lovely hotels on the island, some of which are right on the beach.
I am an instructional designer for a military contractor in NJ. My family and I love the beach and boardwalk, sailing, surfing and, like most people, treasure the times we can all spend together, away from the hustle and bustle of work and school. Ocean City has been our favorite place to spend family times together over the years.

Location: Situated on 14th street, you’ll be a 2-minute walk to the bay, 10-minute walk to the beach, 20-minute drive to Atlantic City, and 30-minute drive to Cape May. If you’ve got a hankering for a morning bagel or donut, Mallon’s bakery is right up the street. Mario’s Restaurant is one block away with soups, salads, and Italian specialties. If you forgot any necessities, there’s a Rite Aid just 3 blocks away, or Boyer’s Market (4 blocks away) for other food staples like bread, milk, juice, PB&J, and pasta.
Our family had a wondering vacation. We had the most amazing weather and enjoyed every day we had. Your home made everything very convenient and simple. We hardly used our car at all. We crabbed for our first time and enjoyed 60+ blue crabs for dinner one evening! Thank you for the cozy and clean accomodations.
This was the fourth year we stayed at this house. Every year it's been perfect. We love that the house has a fenced in backyard! After we get back from the beach, we just let the kids outside and we eat dinner and relax at the backyard table with umbrella. It's perfect. The homey touches are so nice. We love that this house has a washer and dryer. Everything is walking distance and our kids love walking to bay to look at all the boats that go by. We even got chat with some fishermen...who caught a baby shark!! The boys loved it!
The owner was so accommodating and replied to all of my emails promptly. I highly recommend this house for your vacation stay in Ocean City!
Loved this place. It was just as stated, just as appears. modest but clean, very accomodating. My sister and I and 2 boys had plenty of room. There is only one bathroom but you know that going in. We loved the location. Day one we rented great bikes from Bob's on 14th. We rode them everywhere.
We so enjoyed staying at BayBreeze! We were amazed at how quiet that end of 14th street is.. Only a few houses from the bay! The Bay breeze kept the cottage cool all day and we slept with all the windows open enjoying the ocean air! Thanks for stocking the cottage with exactly what we needed for our trip to the beach! We loved the outside shower and the large clothes line to dry all the towels and suits! We will definitely be back!
The house was clean and nicely decorated. It was spacious for our family of 3 boys all under the age of four. The backyard was fenced in and offered a place to relax or run around. The house was located close to the bay and a playground too which was perfect for us. The boardwalk and beach a were within walking distance. We enjoyed our time and look forward to visiting again soon. I really appreciated the owners quick responses to our questions and they were very proactive to provide information to us as needed.
I usually did motels for my OC getaways, was told about VRBO, checked it out. Very lucky to find this cottage available over the Labor Day weekend. The owner was very friendly and helpful with the rental process. The cottage was clean and well maintained. Perfect for my family and friends. 5 adults, 1 child age 7. The backyard was great for morning breakfasts and evening relaxing after day at beach. Convenient and close to anything you might need. Will recommend this cottage and VRBO to my friends. Hope to stay here in the future.
