Guestbook comments from the owner

We were delighted to have you and your family stay in The Old Summer House. We are glad to see kids enjoy the out of doors, by the pond, riding the pedal carts or running barefoot in the yard. You are right, the firepit is only a request away. It was slow in coming out of storage due to the cool, rainy weather this spring.

Hope to see you all again.

Very picturesque, relaxing and fun for families.

  • 5 of 5

This is our second stay here and we love the setting for its authenticity and tucked away feeling. The clip clip of horse and buggies passing by is lovely and the hosts are so friendly yet not intrusive. Our kids love the pedal carts, swing and playhouse!

This location allowed us to explore several areas (Strasburg, Intercourse, Hershey, etc) from a good base.

Be sure to visit Lapp's Dairy down the road in New Holland, super fun for the kids and if you go about 4-530 range you can watch the milking.

Thanks for everything, Mr. & Mrs. Stoner!

Great location

  • 5 of 5

This rental was perfect for us. Our kids enjoyed being able to play outside while we got ready for the day and again when we got back at night. The views were perfect for a vacation to lancaster and the house had everything we needed. We were close to most of the things we wanted to do. I would definitely recommend this rental.

Wonderful home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

My Mother, 2 young daughters, and I were very comfortable in this beautiful home for a weekend trip to PA. The girls loved the playing in the playhouse and visiting the pony and chickens!
