Although this rental requires a 30/nt min, we stayed for 4 months while our home was being renovated two streets away. From the very first conversation with Pamela, to signing the lease, things were smooth and straight forward. Pamela was very kind in answering all our questions before our arrival and during our stay. The condo is just as the pictures show, simple, clean and spacious with the necessary items for a comfortable stay, nothing fancy. The pacific heights neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and safe! Located one block from Alta Plaza Park, it is safe to walk to the nearby restaurants and shops. There also a Molly Stones store 3 blocks. Parking is a huge issue in SF, but not at this condo as 2-car driveway parking is included! Also good public transport nearby and nice walk to the Fillmore district.
We lived here for 2 months and had a very disappointing experience. The location is nice but it is not worth the price charged by the owner. Below are just some of the reasons:
This apartment has issues with mice. At the end of our time, we saw 3 mice in the master bathroom. After informing the property manager, she said this was not the first time and while they have had exterminators in the past, clearly that has not stopped the mice from returning.
We also had issues with the master bedroom toilet not flushing. The owner insisted on fixing the problem himself and it took him at 2 weeks to replace it.
The condition of the apartment is just ok. Upon arrival, we found several items of half eaten food including fruits and vegetables in the fridge and cabinets along with used soaps and toiletries in the bathroom. We also had to bring in our own cleaners to do a once-over on the apartment when we arrived as it was very dusty and not particularly well cleaned before our arrival.
The listing states that it can fit 2 cars in the driveway. However, we were unable to open the door of our mid-size SUV more than halfway which made it impossible to open the door fully for our toddler to get in/out of the car. Parking on the street can be difficult and there is a 2 hour limit unless you get a resident parking sticker.
The apartment is generally overfilled with furniture, supplies and linens, which makes it hard for tenants who are staying more than a weekend and need space to store their own food, clothing, cleaning supplies etc.
Sadly, I would not recommend this apartment to anyone coming to San Francisco.
we stayed in this condo for 5 nights during our son's wedding week with our daughter/son-in-law and parents. It couldn't have been more perfect for size, location, neighborhood and mostly the quality. Our only complaint was that the couches are a little worn and not that comfortable. Otherwise, we enjoyed the amenities, the welcome wine and the back deck (we were lucky enough to have great weather). It is helpful to have a car in this location (great to have a driveway), or use Uber to find a cab. Also, this may not be the place for you if you can't do a full flight of stairs with luggage, etc.
First let me say WOW. What a fabulous family condo! My family and I stayed here during our trip to San Francisco. This flat was roomy and comfortable for all of us: three couples and one little one aged 2 at the time. This was a beautiful place to come home to after walking around all day exploring the city. It is centrally located and was wonderful to walk out the door and find all kinds of boutiques and coffee shops- not to mention the amazing views of the city from the balcony. We loved the place so much we ended up eating in a couple of nights because it was so fabulous and spacious for all of us to hang out and talk and eat. I can't wait to come back and spend a week there again soon! The Pamela (Manager) was incredibly kind and helped us with touristy questions we had. She responded via text almost instantly and even left us a tasty California bottle of wine upon our arrival. The place was SPOTLESS. And again the modern kitchen and style of the place made it so fantastic and almost hard to leave to go out sightseeing!!!
The home is beautiful. We had 7 people and I couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay. The neighborhood was very quiet, complete kitchen , washer , dryer and parking. Great for large group
We rented this place for three couples who were attending a wedding nearby. It was a great value compared to taking three hotel rooms of comparable quality, and with far more comfort and convenience.
The apartment is on the second floor of a two-story building. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, with a lovely park nearby. There's an elementary school directly across the street, but we encountered no noise or disruption. Parking is in a steep narrow driveway that could hold two cars with care; we had one, and were fine. (Don't bring your Hummer, though.)
Furnishings are Ikea-style modern, and all in excellent shape. The kitchen and baths are up to date and well equipped. (Ask the person who lets you in to demonstrate how to turn on the shower. Our group, which included four PhDs and a nuclear physicist, took an embarrassing amount of time to figure it out.) Beds are comfortable. We didn't try the TVs. There's a washer-dryer, which can be run only during the day to avoid disturbing the neighbors' sleep.
Our favorite thing was the espresso machine, the fancy kind that starts with unground beans (supplied). Couldn't keep our hands off this toy, and it made better coffee than the local baristas.
My only quibble is that even with a hefty cleaning charge, the rulebook asks guests to strip the beds and empty all the trash containers. I rent often, and I've never seen that.
Would I rent this place again? Absolutely! If you're looking for a place in a safe and quiet neighborhood but just a few minutes from downtown, this is ideal.
