Very happy with hospitality of the owner. we had very interesting and fun 3 days. Back yard leads to the river where he had a nice set-up of table, chairs and bonfire that made our nights very romantic. He was also very helpful with giving us good suggestions about surrounding sightseeing. So, we are very happy and highly recommend renting Ian's place.
Artist owned property on Esopus river. Owner was a gracious host and he was diligent in knowing what you need for an enjoyable stay. Artwork and nature surround you and it is a unique look into a wonderfull upstate NY lifestyle. We would go back! Thanks, I. Cheers!
Ian was an incredibly gracious and accommodating host. He was on-site to welcome us and to answer any questions we had about the property and the surrounding area. He also left tons of materials for us about the area, which made getting around much, much easier. The home was clean and well cared for. He left coffee, fruit, and other breakfast goods for us, and even set aside an extra set of blankets, towels, and pillows for our stay (we had an extra guest). The house has tons of natural light, is airy, and has ample room for relaxing and hanging out. The stream in the backyard is secluded, gorgeous, and refreshing. Can't say enough great things about Streamside and its host! I'd recommend this property to anyone looking to get away for the weekend.
Everything was exactly as described on the website. Cabin/Studio was cozy, rustic and charming. The owner was on site and available to answer any of our questions. He also ensures you have the utmost privacy. Prior to arrival, Ian provided us with all the details including how to get to the location, very helpful advice on what to do in the area and a list of the best restaurants to choose from. It was a nice place to explore a cute little town, get out of the city, and enjoy the country. The swimming hole and stream was extremely tranquil. If you want a cute place to get away, this is the place for you. Thanks again for everything!
We really enjoyed our stay at Streamside Catskill Mountain House. It was beautiful and peaceful with plenty of activities in the area that you could choose to do. It was clean, it had everything we needed for cooking and grilling as well as clean sheets and towels. Basically just bring some clothes and yourself. There is a market really close that has the necessities and larger grocery stores in the area if you need a larger assortment. Also the swimming hole is really cool, the stream is very beautiful and the swimming hole is located directly on the property which is a lot nicer than a situation you have to hike in and worry about bringing your pack and hiking out wet. We went as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday I wanted to pick a place a lot of different activities to pick from or to just relax and enjoy nature and the stars. This has it all!
