About June Creamer
I grew up in Maine residing for the first few years of my youth at a lobster pound that my father and uncle operated in Sorrento. My siblings and I spent many hours on the surrounding rocky beach areas exploring tide pools at low tide and developing a love and appreciation for the ocean. The family moved to Mt Desert island in the late 1960's and my father established a business in downtown Bar Harbor. I grew up on the island and spent many of my adult years working at that family business before it was sold in 2000. Though I no longer live in Maine, I am drawn back to the ocean and the unique beauty of Acadia National Park several times a year. I really enjoy having the opportunity to host other visitor's trips to this beautiful region by providing both quality lodgings and information based on my personal knowledge of the area.
June Creamer purchased this Cottage in 2015
Why June Creamer chose Trenton
Upon first seeing this property, I was taken with its bright and cheery personality--wonderful qualities for a vacation home. Its location and quality are comparable to my other property and will be an option for those who are looking for facilities that are nearby for larger parties or several families traveling together who want separate accommodations.Or, for those who periodically ask if we have any other properties comparable to when it isn't available. Being from this area and having worked in downtown Bar Harbor for many years, I appreciate the appeal of having a restful atmosphere to return to after a day of hectic activity in order to rejuvenate for the next day's excursions. This is the type of home and location that I personally would choose for a visit to this region.
What makes this Cottage unique
In addition to being close to Mt Desert Island, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, and the other island communities, this property is also equidistant to Ellsworth where the superior grocery shopping is to be found. For those interested in seafood, there are a number of lobster pounds to be found on Rt. 3 just 5 minutes from the cottage. Though the ocean is not visible through the woods from the property, it is actually only about 1,000 feet from the shoreline. Just a few feet down the street is an open field with a view of Western Bay and the "mountains" of Acadia National Park, indicating the cottage's proximity to the ocean.

IMMACULATE PROPERTY :)
This house is very conveniently located to Acadia National Park. We came with a family of 5.... 2 adults and 3 grown kids. It was easy to find, and super easy drive into Acadia and to enjoy Maine. The house is SUPER clean, and everything is in top notch shape. Great beds and bedding... matching bath towels.... all super fresh and clean. Every thing I could think of was already in place in the house... Even PS4 for the kids which they loved!!! The owner is EASY to work with and did not miss a detail. Having laundry facilities in the house was great. We loved this house and would stay again...
Beautiful, Clean, and Well Stocked Cottage
We were thrilled with our stay at Oak Point Cottage! The pictures don’t do justice to how charming this home really is!
Arriving to find a welcome basket was so nice, and we enjoyed the many goodies!
This home is maintained, cleaned, and decorated so perfectly. We had everything we could possibly need available to us! My teenaged son especially enjoyed the gaming system after a long day of sightseeing.
OPC was close to all the of the places we wanted to visit, but nestled away enough that we didn’t have to deal with the hustle and bustle of MDI when we were relaxing at the cottage.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay at the cottage, and we can’t wait to return to the area again! Thanks June for everything!

Fantastic cozy cottage
This is our third time spending our annual Acadia summer vacation at June's cottages. Like the Goose Cove cottage where we stayed in the previous two summers, this cottage is well maintained and very welcoming: new flooring, new appliances, an OLED TV in the living room (with cable, PS4 gaming console, blue ray DVD player and tons of DVDs), a TV in each room (all with cable), beautiful decorations, and many other features that make this place a truly home-away-from home.
We will certainly keep coming back! Thanks, June!
Perfect in Every Way!
The home is beautiful, and well thought out with every detail. All the comforts of home will make your stay restful and relaxing. It was very clean and well maintained. The screened outdoor area with the nearby grill was one of our favorite spots. It was a great place to relax, play games, and enjoy meals.
The home was spacious and very comfortable. Comfortable beds, and living room furniture. I’m tall and appreciated the high shower head. I find that many times when I travel shower heads are short. It was great to have a washer, dryer, and iron. I also liked the fully equipped kitchen. My husband really enjoyed the large tv and having cable. Though I was on “vacation,” I needed to work, so I was very thankful to have the quick internet available.
There were so many things about this home to love, too many to mention. I would highly recommend it. The owner is very easy to work with and has excellent communication. We hope to stay here again in the future.
Wonderful and Quiet Haven May 9 - 14, 2018
We so enjoyed our stay at Oak Point Cottage. It was a great home base for hiking, relaxing and hanging out! The kitchen was top-notch, the furnishings were very nice and the bedrooms and bathrooms were just the right size for our family! The weather was wonderful during our stay and we were able to have a great time with our adult sons for the week. June was great to work with! Thanks again for everything! It was wonderful!
Perfect in every way!
Oak Point Cottage was perfect. From the moment I first spoke to our hostess until we exited the property to head home, we had absolutely no issues and would highly recommend staying here.
We arrived to the cottage which was perfectly cleaned with all appliances in good working order. The welcome basket was something I've never seen in any rental we've ever booked through Home Away or any other agency. It was filled with local treats that piqued our interest to explore beyond our loosely discussed plans.
My husband is an avid cyclist and spent nearly every day in Acadia riding. This is the perfect location to have privacy yet be close to the park and Bar Harbor.
My in-laws did some hiking around Jordan Pond, antiquing, and we checked out several of the local businesses in Bar Harbor. This was my husband and my second time to Bar Harbor and our in-laws first, but there never seems like enough time to do everything, so we're exploring properties for 2018!
The house has everything you need in the kitchen, tvs in the bedrooms if you'd like to just chill and read a book with some music on, or sit inside the screened pavilion on the property. We heard birds and wildlife every morning and evening, and a few times heard turkeys as well.
I could write a book about our lovely experience at Oak Point Cottage, but perfect truly defines this property. We were very pleased with every aspect of it and it is a great space for 4-6 people to enjoy comfortably. We can't wait to go back and hope we luck out in booking this property again.
This lovely accommodation is close to everything, yet in a quiet location especially suited to those who would like to return to peace and quiet after a full day of activities. There is a wide selection of activities to be enjoyed in the Acadia region--something for everyone. In addition to the spectacular beauty of the National Park, the quaint and historic communities of the island, and approximately 120 miles of hiking trails and carriage roads, there are wonderful destinations nearby that are great for day trips (i.e. Schoodic Peninsula, Stonington, Camden/Rockland, Campobello Island, and so forth). Within close proximity of the cottage are grocery shopping, gas stations, lobster pounds, and the Chamber's Visitors Center.
