Welcome to our cottage in the delightful, historic village of Aurora on Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes. Fall is the best season- the lake is warm, the days are pleasant and the nights are perfect for sleeping. Enjoy viewing the harvests at local farms and enjoy fresh produce from the farmers market. Home to Wells College and the whimsical home decoration company MacKenzie-Childs, Aurora is a vacationer's dream. The two bedroom cottage is fully furnished to offer up to 5 guests a delightful stay. Bring your water toys and fishing poles to enjoy the dock! Within 15 minutes you can visit 5 wineries. We are a short drive to Cornell University and Ithaca College and are available for their graduation weeks.

Beyond expectations

  • 5 of 5

Great location. Wonderful view of lake, right on the shore. Great sunsets. The house has everything you need PLENTY OF ROOM, well appointed, excellent HD TV, hardwood floors, well equipped kitchen. But the best is that the people who own and operate the property are just solid, good people. If they had there wish their rental would be their house. In time this will be reality.

Able to walk to great coffee and even better meals. Auburn close and wonderful Ithaca less than 35 min. Biking, golf, fishing, kayaking, all easily available.

Excellent rental. Thank you!!

Owner's Response: Just returned from a trip outside the country to this review. Ron and Barbara were a lovely couple who we were delighted to share our cottage and village with for a month. They brought their two extremely well behaved black labs! We're so glad they enjoyed their stay!

Great cottage with fantastic view!

  • 5 of 5

This is a cute, clean and bright cottage with lots of windows, right on Lake Cayuga. The cottage is well kept and has a good sized kitchen with all modern appliances and a cozy living/dining combo with a large window facing the backyard on the lake. Great sunsets can be seen from this window or by relaxing in the chairs on the lawn or the deck.

Highly recommended for a relaxing vacation!

Lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is bright, clean and comfortable. The lakefront provided our dogs and kids hours of entertainment swimming, fishing and exploring right from the property. It was an easy walk to local stores and restaurants and close to many state parks as well as Ithaca. Robin was super accommodating and gave us good information about local places of interest. We really enjoyed our visit and would recommend this cottage to others.

Owner's Response: We were delighted and yet nervous to welcome our very first renters but Barbara and her family made it very easy. The house was immaculate when they left and everything was in great condition. Their dog was very well behaved. So glad they had a good visit!

Excellent

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a quiet getaway by the lake & we struck gold!

The cottage was neat, clean & perfect for us, the fishing off the dock was great & the Kayak (lent to us & dropped off by the owner) completed the vacation.

Robin, was quick to respond during the booking process & very helpful.

I would certainly book this cottage again.
