Great neighborhood and location. Place was clean and comfortable.
The place was great! Clean and just like the pictures! Honestly the only negative thing I could say was there are littles right above you so if you plan on sleeping in and are a light sleeper you might have some problems. We looked at it as a positive to get us up and exploring early. We had a wonderful stay for our anniversary, thanks Sue!
This apartment is ideally situated for visits to Golden Gate park and Lands End. It’s exactly as described and the owner provides everything needed to make your stay comfortable. It should be noted that there are small children upstairs who get up quite early, so if you’re hoping to sleep in, this might not be the place for you.
Compact and Clean
Cleverly appointed and maintained.
Susanne is an excellent host. She responses very fast to any questions and is very accommodating. Cute little apartment in a quiet neighborhood. Very easy access to public transportation that can take you everywhere in SF.
Great neighborhood for walking
We loved the area and great places to eat! So much walking each day burned it off. The apartment was just what we needed. Small but clean. Perfect for the 2 of us. Close the Golden Gate park. Only warning, not a complaint, is the active 3 year old upstairs rises at 6 am every morning. Bring ear plugs if you want to sleep in. Everything was great and not much can be done about "happy feet" in the mornings.
We are located 1/2 block from Golden Gate Park with its many attractions from museums to the buffalo pen, a fly fishing practice area and archery range. You can paddle boat on Stowe Lake or enjoy the quiet of the Japanese Tea Garden and the Botanical Garden, all within walking distance.
In the opposite direction are Balboa and Upper Clement Streets where you can find any variety of ethnic restaurant, two movie theatres, shops, spas, local small and large grocery stores, laundries and banks.
Continuing from there you will run into the Presidio with its museums, golf course, beaches and many other attractions.
It is a short drive over the Golden Gate Bridge to the Marin Headlands, with its many hiking trails. There are several lookout points and if you wish you can drive 16 miles north to the redwoods of the Muir Woods.
From the house it is an easy walk to several MUNI buses including the 5 Fulton, 1 California, and the 37 Geary Limited that go downtown or by transfer to anywhere in the city. Bus transfers are good for 4 hours, so be sure to ask for one.
Owners are happy to talk with you about other attractions and places not to miss in San Francisco and there are guides and maps in the apartment for your perusal.
You will be in a good location to explore the city and return to a peaceful environment.
